"Project NJ: Loving animals in need of loving homes (An adoption sponsor) is a group to help sponsor animals that need a loving home in the South Jersey area. This site is not only to sponsor adoption for unwanted animals but to prove a point as well. There are too many people that are under the false misconception that
animals from shelter are mean and possibly vicious animals. I spoke with many

people and a lot of the responses were "Well, I am sure the animals there are not happy and probably are mean, that is probably the reason why they were put up for adoption in the first place" That is NOT the case, they were put up for adoption because either people can no longer care (or want) the animals, allergic possibly, or didn't realize the responsibility of taking care of a dog or a cat. This group is to show people that these dogs and cats ARE loving, ARE playful or ARE cuddle bugs as I call them:) Please folks, stop going to the breeders or puppy mills...give these animals a chance. The pictures and videos that I will post on here will prove just that. The main shelter I am sponsoring is Almost Home Animal Care in Pennsuaken, NJ. i had a pleasure of getting to know the volunteers at this shelter during the adoption process of our two cats Meka and Salem. Their main goal is to make sure that these animals get a loving home! They hold Free Dog Training, fundraisers, and even a personalty match counseling to find the right pet for you:) My goal as a volunteer is to increase a chance for these animals to get a loving home because these are 'Loving animals in need of a loving home':)

P&G Voluntarily Recalls Limited Quantity of Dry Pet Food Due to Possible Health Risk

The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) has voluntarily recalled specific lots of dry pet food because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. These lots were distributed in the United States and represent roughly one-tenth of one percent (0.1%) of annual production.

Just got word from the shelter that the situation at the shelter is bad. They have to get 10 dogs out now. They are crazy overfull right now. This can be very bad for our residents that have been there the longest.

There are other dogs there that are not on our petfinder yet.

Thunder, Neutered Male, Around 2 Years Old, 50 Pounds *Very Dog Friendly--he is best with medium and large dogs because he likes to play and is too strong for small dogs*

I love Thunder! He is so handsome and well mannered..he takes food politely and he never destroys his blankets or toys. He is such a peaceful soul who has had a rough life, but has still remained such a sweet, affectionate boy He is a favorite of everyone here at the shelter. He is very people friendly and very dog friendly....he will need to go to a home with medium and large dogs because he loves to play, so he is too strong for small dogs.

He came here in such a sorry state that I couldn't post his picture...he looked like a dog you would see on a collection can. Poor thing was starving! Well, he hasn't missed a meal since he arrived, and he has turned into one of the handsomest fellas here! Sweet Thunder was once loved by someone, they taught him sit and down ..and he does them very well ♥

DO NOT call the shelter and say you are adopting unless you truly intend on physically going to the shelter to adopt the dog. It ties up phones lines and is a waste of the staff's time to explain the adoption procedure over the phone for someone who is purposely not going to show up. They need every free second of their time to answer calls, assist actual adopters, process intakes, and care for the animals. More importantly, they will note the dog’s file that an adopter is en route which will prevent an actual adopter from saving the dog. This is considered a "fake adoption" hold and that is how dogs fall through the cracks and end up being killed.

Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Do you remember DORSET, the handsome white bulldog/pit mix from ACCT that URGENTLY needed out right away due to medical issues? And POPPA, the sweet young ACCT pup who also needed out immediately due to a severe wound? Well, they were both rescued by Paws to Heart Rescue Inc.! Please read the info below to find out how you can help them with the large cost of these surgeries. They saved them - now it's our turn to help!

Please share for our adorable, sweet Phoenix. When people meet him and only spend 20 minutes with him, they always say, "he is shyer than we thought". He is shy, but give him some time. He love to sit and give you gentle kisses, have his belly rubbed and cuddle. He is extremely smart! He has come so far since we rescued him in Kensington. Please share so he can find the wonderful foster or forever home he deserves. Every day when I walk into the kennel he wiggles and talks and his tail can't wag hard enough. Once in the yard he does the zoomies and can't wait to work on his obedience and have some cuddle time. He will be like this with everyone if they gave him a bit of time and see things from Phoenix's eyes.
