Hawaii Dog Foundation We are an all-volunteer rescue group that finds safe, loving homes for Oahu’s unwanted dogs 🐶🐾
(19)

Hawaii Dog Foundation DOES NOT have a hard-sided facility for potential adopters to visit. Instead, we are a network of volunteers, each taking a foster dog into our home. We get to know our dogs very well and strive to place them in homes that best fit their personality. To know more about or to meet a dog your interested in, please send us a direct message here on Facebook or send us an email!

Today’s your lucky day!

This beautiful girl is a 2yr old Irish Setter named Izzy and she's looking for her forever home. 🏡

Izzy comes with all the latest features: she's spayed, microchipped and current on all her vaccinations. And have you seen that beautiful coat?! 🤩

She's an indoor girl that is well house-trained and non-destructive. She enjoys a good cuddle session on the couch and a "follow-you" game while you complete your daily chores. She also enjoys her time outside on daily adventures that include walks, car rides and even hikes. If she could talk, she'd tell us her perfect family wouldn't care that she's not a fan of the water (it messes up her beautiful hair anyway). 💦

This girl sounds perfect, doesn't she? Well she kinda is. The only reason her current digs aren't permanent is because there's a grumpy older English Setter that doesn't like to share her things. Foster mom is heart-broken, but asked for help to do what's best for Izzy.

If you're interested in meeting this stunning lady in person, please fill out an adoption application on our website, www.hawaiidogfoundation.org, and ask for her by name.

These little boys are 6 weeks old and found under a sofa at the Maili Food Bank about 10 days after they were born (best guess on birthday is June 14th).

1. My name is Tater Tot because I look like one (with a tail). I’m a bit bigger than my brother and a bit more active and curious. I eat my kibble and gruel and love to drink from the automatic water dispenser in my fosters house.

I sleep with my brother in a crate at night, but prefer sleeping on the BIG dog bed foster mom has for us.

2. My name is Spud (I don’t have a tail and am about as big as a small potato 🥔).

I’m a bit shy, but when I get to know a person, I’m all wiggles and giggles. I love to be held and petted, but really love playing with my brother.

Please give us a home where we can cuddle next to you and keep you company.

If you’re interested in meeting them, please visit our website, www.hawaiidogfoundation.org and fill out an adoption application and ask for them by name!

**COURTESY LISTING**

Leo and Lily are still looking for a home together!

They are a little over a year old terrier mixes, weighing about 25lbs each and inseperable.

They do everything together, except water 💦; Lily loves it. Leo would rather watch. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and microchipped.

They are kennel-trained and know a few commands like “sit” and “go to bed”. They are food motivated, love to go for car rides and are big fans of affection. As we understand it, they both are applying for the position of “ lap dog”.

They both do well with other dogs and older children. They haven’t had much experience with cats, so it’s not clear how they feel about the felines.

We think their ideal home would be together as they’re best pals-sleeping and playing together.

If you are interested in meeting them, reach out to Ellie and she can arrange it, (808) 351-2027

What happened?? Dobby had just arrived at his new foster home yesterday when his leash slipped out of foster dad’s hand and he bolted.

Well folks…I think we found Dingo a family to call his own! He’s settling in nicely, we hear. 🥰

At the same time, his brother Dobby, is still searching for either a foster home or a forever home. 🐕🐾🏡

Dobby is a medium energy guy. He’s a little over a year old, is neutered and microchipped, current on his vaccinations and even knows a few commands. He is house and crate trained and enjoys kids!

What are we doing today? Spaying and neutering where it’s needed most! 🪡 Yep, that’s right Aloha Affordable Vet has teamed up with Aloha Animal Outreach to meet the need where it lives…and that’s an activity we want to be a part of!

This is the beginning of the end of overpopulation!

Any puppy you see in these photos does not have a clean, safe place to recover. If we can’t find humans to say yes to fostering, they’ll return to living outside.

If you have space and can help even 1, send us a message

UPDATE: Dingo has found a foster home 🤗 Mahalo nui for your support and effort to help our call for help 🐾

Two days, folks…our guy, Dingo, has two days to find a new foster home.

His current foster family has to head out on their new military assignment and we have been trying for sometime to find a place for him to lay his head while he waits for his forever home.

We’re not even sure why it’s proven so difficult.

Dingo is a small to medium sized boy. He’s neutered, microchipped and current on his vaccinations. He’s house trained and crate trained and LOVES KIDS!! He even has cat experience and does pretty well with them.

Please-if you have time and space d to help our guy out, please send us a message and let’s talk.

Our boy Dingo is still in need of a foster or forever home.

Could you be his savior?

Currently, he’s being fostered by a wonderful military family. They’ve done amazing work to get him ready for his forever home. Unfortunately, they’re moving on to their next duty assignment before he’s been adopted.

Dingo is between 2-4 yrs old and weighs about 30lbs. He’s neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped. He’s house trained, crate trained and even knows a few commands. His favorite thing: KIDS! 🧒 He loves them 🐾❤️. He even has some cat experience and does well. He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides.

If you have some time and space to help this guy out, please fill out a volunteer application at www.hawaiidogfoundation.org

If you’re interested in adopting, please go to the same site, but fill out an adoption agreement and ask for him by name! 🐕

Help us help Roxy Girl. 🐾🥰

Roxy Girl was found needing help by Aloha Animal Outreach at the beginning of April during an outreach event. It was clear she was malnourished and something was definitely wrong with her left rear leg.

Thankfully, an AMAZING human stepped up and agreed to be her foster mom and we agreed to take on the cost of her care.

Together, we’ve made it over some pretty big hurdles and we could use your help to take her through what’s left.

Her initial vet visit revealed everything that was troubling her: her leg was broken into 3 pieces, her tail was dislocated/fractured causing her pain and an inability to control her bowel movements and she tested positive for the tick-borne disease, Erlichea.

In the last few weeks, she’s undergone an emergency spay surgery and tail amputation despite her compromised condition. And of course, there were a couple of complications that required some additional vet visits. Today, however, she is home healing and showing foster mom all her gratitude.

Foster mom’s heart is overfilled with the amount of gentleness and patience Roxy has shown throughout this whole process. She loves her fluffy dog bed, she loves cuddles and regularly asks for affection. Food is yummy, squeaky toys are fun and there’s nothing like a good bask in the sun with friends.

As she continues to gain weight and heal, we’re preparing for what we hope is a final surgery to address her broken leg.

As you can imagine, the bill has added up and we sure could use your monetary support. Every dollar helps!
