Today would have been our Gidget's 12th birthday. I've been dreading sitting down to write this, but I owe it to her.

We've had 87 days without her sweet face and crazy high pitched bark (that only a mother could and did love). Contrary to what people say, it's not getting any easier. I've experienced a lot of loss and sadness of our own fur kids and clients who I consider my family too, but none have hit me as hard as my Gidget.

She was my baby and my shadow from the first day we met. As a puppy, she loved racing in, out and around the big dogs. She had so much energy and wanted to be friends with everyone. She loved food. That's no surprise as a beagle, but she really, really loved food - and paper products and sometimes her own poo. She once snatched pizza crust from someone's hand as they were getting ready to take a bite. I'd like to say we let her know that kind of behavior wasn't acceptable, but we just laughed as you do when you're honored enough to know a Gidget.

Gidget got five stars for being a big, little sister and instigator. She would hear something a block away and let out a little bark from her perch on the couch. Moon and Kahuna would race around the house barking at they didn't know what and Gidget would just lay her head back down on a pillow or on me.

I miss taking naps with her. She'd curl up in some odd, contortionist position that always ensured she was touching me. She followed me everywhere and I hated leaving her. We didn't even take a vacation without her for her first 8 years. I realize that's not healthy, but it's what I did for my girl because of what she did for me.

There's so much to say about her too short life, but I'll sum it up with I'll forever miss everything about her. Here's a little slideshow with a fraction of her cuteness and love...

Today was my last daily walk with these two fellas. They have made me laugh at least once every day I've spent with them. We will miss them greatly. We're holding their parents to their word though and expect to see them once they're all settled in their new home 😀. Got that Shannon and Andrew?!

Oops - I woke these two up today. Fortunately I captured a picture of their sleeping position before they were awake enough to move. You want them as members of your family. How could you not? They'll fit right in. They'll up the cute quotient in your house. We won't charge an extra pet fee when we take care of them. This may be the cutest pair of litter mates since Gidget and Jersey. Come on. You know you're already in love.

Please keep an eye out for this poor little girl. She went missing from Pampered Pooches daycare in the South Village of Avalon Park 3 days ago. She was last seen heading towards the bridge at Hal Scott Preserve. She is skittish so please call the number on the flyer to get her family to her instead of chasing after her.

These two cuties are still in need of a home. They are currently being kept on a lanai. It's better than being out in the wild, but it's so hot outside this time of year. They are litter box trained. They love each other and are still a little shy outside of their circle. The woman who has them now is working with them - getting them to eat out of her hand, etc. I talk to and play with them during the week as well. They've been around two small dogs. They've also been named - the black male is Jack and the gray female is Patches (although, I think Casey would have been a great choice ;)). Please help me get the word out. Let's find these sweeties their forever home.

Aloha and Happy Monday! Please help us find a home for these cuties. A client rescued them and is looking for their furever home. They are 7 weeks old. The gray one is a girl and the black on is a boy. They went to the vet on Friday. Both have received their first shots and their feline leukemia tests were negative. I'd love to see them stay together since they're so young and didn't have their mom as long as they should have - but it's more important that they find stable, loving homes. They will be boarded at a vet as of Tuesday because our client is going on vacation. So, if you want them today... :) She will be back the following week, but will give the vet permission to adopt them out if someone wants them before she gets home. I have the information, so please contact me if you're interested. Feel free to pass this around to anyone you think will love them. Mahalo.
