PLEASE HELP! ***We need to raise $811 more in 10 days for Madeline's surgery! Surgery is scheduled with VetMed on the 24th!***
🐱Please help sweet Madeline! Unfortunately, her nostrils have collapsed, making her breathe out of her mouth again. She's also super congested again because of it, and since her nostrils are collapsed and closed, any discharge from her sneezing is going through her tear ducts.
In March, she was able to get surgery done to let her breathe out of her nose, thanks to everyone who donated towards her care! But, she needs to go in one more time to have tubes put in her nose to keep the nostrils open. They did let us know when we initially did the surgery that this might be a possibility. VetMed gave us an estimate of $1,889.03.
We have raised $1,078 so far!!! (as of 5:15pm on 10/14/24)
Please consider a small donation to help Madeline get the care she needs! Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

Rigby
Hi friends!🐾 Rigby needs a foster home. ❤
Sweet Rigby's mama had to go into a care facility recently and wasn't allowed to bring Rigby with her. Unfortunately, her family surrendered Rigby to a local shelter. The shelter contacted us when they found he had a microchip that went back to us. Rigby was adopted from us in 2017. He was with his adopter all this time and now he is just heart broken.
He is in our director's home for now, but he really needs a foster home that is a little more quiet and with someone who can give him some more one on one time. He is the absolute sweetest boy, but right now he just hides in the back of his kennel and is shut down. This video was taken at the shelter before we picked him up. He responds like this when we get in his kennel to pet him and love on him, but he won't come forward unless no one is in the room. He just needs a place to decompress, get lots of love and be given time to adjust to everything that has happened. He does seem to do well with other cats.
Our foster homes do provide their own food and litter (unless we get some donated of course), but we provide all medical care. If anyone would be interested in fostering this sweet boy, please click on the following link to fill out our foster application. We would love to have you on our team! ❤🐱 We are located in Centerville, Utah.

🐾Stache Update!🐾
I am sorry for the delay on his update! We have had a lot going on in the rescue the last couple of weeks and all of us have been going non stop!
Stache had an HCT of 6.9 (normal is 26-47) on the 27th when he was at his worse. He was completely anemic and jaundice. He was very lethargic, not eating on his own, had very bloody stool. His foster mom brought him to the Cottonwood ER that night for help. The doctor there told us Stache's prognosis was very poor, he said Stache most likely had FIP (no where in the bloodwork showed signs of FIP), he recommended euthanasia. He said they could keep him overnight for $4,500 - $5,900 and put a feeding tube in and possible blood transfusion. We didn't feel comfortable with the situation. We had been in contact with our friends at Angel Paws during this time and I am so thankful that we were.
Placing a feeding tube would have most likely killed Stache. A blood transfusion was too risky. One of the amazing doctors at Angel Paws recommended to take him home, start him on antibiotics, steriods, force feeding etc. It was still a risk, but he had a better chance with that than being treated at an ER with a doctor who was diagnosing something that wasn't and risking his life by anesthesia.
Stache has been back to Angel Paws multiple times since. On Friday during his recheck, his HCT count was at 20!!! He isn't near as anemic, he isn't near as jaundice. His foster mom no longer needs to force feed him. He is active, eating, purring, and being a happy kitty! He won't need another recheck for a while, unless something happens, but he has shown incredible improvement and keeps improving every day!
We are so grateful for the support from all of you, from the incredible team at Angel Paws, and for his amazing foster mom who has given her all to Stache. ❤

UPDATE 02/05 - Unfortunately Kermit's veterinarian at Mountain West recommended euthanasia for our sweet boy. He was battling more than FIP and his prognosis was very guarded. Thank you to his amazing foster family for taking such great care of him and giving him all the love he could have ever dreamed of. Thank you to those who donated for his care. We are still behind on hundreds for his bill that we need to have paid later today, so if anyone could help out, we would be so grateful. We are going to miss our Kermit. 💔
We've been treating Kermit for FIP for the last month and he took a turn for the worse today. We aren't sure what caused him to go downhill so fast, but his foster mom is heading to Mountain West ER now. Our initial estimate will probably be close to $1000 for the first night stay and testing. Please help if you can! Anything and everything helps! Kermit needs us right now! This poor guy has gone through so much in his short life.

Robertoe
Hi there, potential forever family! My name is Robertoe, and I'm a dashing, mature gentleman looking for a loving home to call my own. I'm a four-legged connoisseur of affection, and I must say, chin scratches and snuggles are my absolute favorites! I'm a seasoned lap cat, and if you're looking for a feline friend to keep you warm on chilly nights, I'm your guy.
Life hasn't always been a walk in the catnip garden for me. Unfortunately, my previous adopter crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving me and my best friend Mags in need of a new home. Despite the hardships, I've retained my calm and loving nature. I believe in second chances, and I'm ready to bring joy and companionship into your life. Mags and I would love to be adopted together if possible. We've been through thick and thin together, and it would be a dream come true to find a home where we can stay side by side.
I'm a playful soul at heart. Feather toys, laser pointers, you name it—I'm up for some fun! But don't let my playful side fool you; I also appreciate a good snuggle session on the couch. I'm the perfect blend of playfulness and laid-back charm. Oh, and did I mention my unique feature? I'm rocking a distinctive look with one less toe on my front left paw. It just adds a touch of character to my already handsome self.
** I MUST go to a home with another cat. (Or adopt Mags with me for ½ the adoption fee!) I need an indoor-only, quiet home with plenty of room to run and play, cat trees to scratch and climb and toys to keep me entertained. I need a patient and calm family who will give me lots of love, playtime and attention. **
I do great with other cats after proper introductions. I do well with smaller, cat-friendly dogs after proper introductions as well. I do well with respectful and gentle, older children and I am litter box trained.
I am ready to bring warmth, laughter, and endless love into your home. Let's create a purr-fect future together!
