Did you know that many dogs will freak out and climb fences trying to escape the noise from fireworks 💥. They will then start running and will not stop until they are completely exhausted,injured or worse. PLEASE bring your pets inside during expected firework displays!!!

Some of you have asked about “Velvet”,our mascot for many years. She dressed up for every holiday and season. She retired last month and is now a volunteer at Morgan Elementary and making some first graders very happy. Thanks for your service Velvet, you will be missed. 🩷🐕‍🦺🩷

We want to take a moment and thank the community for helping us get these dogs to the shelter and off of the street! These two are very smart and did not make it easy but with the community coming together we were finally able to get them! They are in a quiet area of the shelter to decompress. Staff is in love with both of these sweet girls already!
