Introducing...Dog Running!
Introducing the new activity we have available for your dogs...if they like to run, Kerry may be your perfect dog care provider!
Kerry is a 10 marathon finisher and 6 half marathon finisher. She started running during high school track and ran her first 5k in 2008 in Washington DC. She is currently training for the 2024 Army 10 miler. She has run with her own dogs over the years and looks forwards to sharing the experience with your pup!
Think your four-legged friend would be interested? Here's a breakdown of what their runs would en(tail): 🐶
They would start off with a short warmup walk, then 20, 30, or 40 minutes of running, followed by short cool-down. Total time would be about 30, 40, or 50 minutes, respectively. All this on nearby trails and planned routes. These would only be offered in the morning to help ensure the pups are staying cool and safe.
For more information about the benefits of running for dogs and how to sign up, check out this month's BwB blog post! 🏃🏻♀️

You may have heard the term "high energy breed", but what dogs fall under that category?
Dogs that are bred as herding or sporting dogs are normally who is being referred to. These are the breeds that thrive when they have a job and higher levels of mental and physical stimulation.
Some breeds known for their extremely high energy-levels are: German Shepherds, Alaskan Malamutes, Border Collies, Setters, Retrievers, Jack Russel Terriers, Australian Shepherds, Vizlas, Weimarners, and Siberian Huskies.
From cattle dogs running sheep to retrievers collecting hunted game, these dogs have tremendous endurance and are accustomed to having demanding jobs. They need daily workouts to remain happy and healthy.
Without enough daily stimulation for your pet, there could be some undesirable consequences. They can become destructive and begin taking their excess energy out on furniture, belongings, etc. They can resort to excessive barking and other frustrating tendencies like urinating in the house.
Much like people, too much energy that has nowhere to go can cause our animals to develop symptoms of anxiety. That isn't fun for anyone.
We understand life gets in the way sometimes. If you're struggling with fitting in enough daily exercise for your high-energy dog, we want to help!
With BwB, you can schedule our walkers any day of the week for as many play sessions as your pup needs! Have specific games or training that gets your dog's energy out? When you meet your walker, just let them know! We'd jump at the chance for more time with your fun-loving ball of fur!
