Happy international cat day !
One of my previous adopters just sent me this ! Not sure who remembers Missy & P***y but they were semi feral’s that took a lot of work to become tames & thennnn we introduced a new stray into the mix for them to just foster. Well Tony (not sure who remembers him I’ve posted so many over the years) turned into a foster fail 🎉🙏.
Long story short it took awhile to get to this point 😹
And now they are all sharing a bed together! A Thecatclub Success story yay!!!!! 🐈‍⬛🐈🐈👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🙌👏🏻👏🏻😻😻😻😻

Adoption announcement 🎉
The Cat Club had a very special adoption this past week.
Right b4 Mother’s Day my father rescued a 3 week old kitten from a car engine at his physical therapy office called “Nova Physical Therapy”. He then, of course, brought it to me to rehabilitate & put up for adoption.
He named her Nova.
Nova was covered in fleas & her eyes were infected & sewn shut with mucus.
We isolated her & began her road to recovery. I don’t bathe kittens that young unless there’s ringworm becuz they can develop respiratory issues, which she already had, so I didn't wanna make it worse, so I literally spent 4 hours picking off every flea on her body until she was flea free.
I cleared her eyes up on my own as well. I spent a lot of time with this little character. So much time, in fact, that her adopter thinks she acts like me. Lol
On April 24th my dear friend Dolores’ Cat passed away. So when I took in Nova I felt like she was meant for her & her husband Nick. I knew that they might not be ready & Nova wasn't either. She still needed to be spayed & get shots before going to her forever home. So I had time to get them hooked (evil laugh)
Sure enough, when they came to visit they instantly fell in love with her.
The vet classified her as a “lilac point himalayan” so what’s not to love! She's fancy pantsy.
I’m a strong believer that animal angels bring other animals in need into our lives for a reason & that Dasha & our dear friend Amie brought Nova to me knowing I'd adopt her to them.
This is a home run adoption for me cuz I love my bestie Dolores & even tho baby Nova now lives in SF I know that I'll still be in her 9lives when visiting.
It was also Dolores’ bday so the timing was purrfect.
Definition of a Nova:
A strong, rapid increase in brightness in a star.
The word comes from Latin for “new star” cos often a star previously too dim to be seen with the naked eye can become among the brightest objects in the sky when it becomes a Nova. So in other words, may Nova rapidly tear thru ur house like the bright star that she is! 🤩

Went to the West Valley Pound in Chatsworth today cuz I had an appointment to fix kitties.
I took a look in their Kitty room and there’s sooooo many Cats, kittens & bunnies for adoption. So I wanted to showcase them In Case anyone is looking. The Pounds & Rescues are overwhelmed right now . I wish I had space to pull all the kitties I saw 😿 . I’m working on getting more space. For now, take a look to see if any of these beautiful angels spark your fancy. They are all so sweet and some have been adopted, so this isn’t just a sad video. 🥹😻🫶🙏

Hey everybody,

I’m helping my friend Ami Albea Negron raise money to send this homeless man’s kitties to a sanctuary since no one has stepped up to foster or adopt them sadly. It’s really hard these days getting adult cats adopted. Social media is saturated with cats needing homes & rescues and pounds are all over capacity.

So our plan B is to raise money to send them to this kitty sanctuary that’s been in operation 1965. If you could donate anything to help get them in there that would be greatly appreciated. It's not cheap because they will be taking care of them for life.

Peyton passed away in our shelter last night.

He came to us just yesterday, a weary soul found in a barn. Fourteen years old, underweight, half an ear missing, and struggling to breathe. His microchip, dating back to 2009, was a silent witness to a life that once was – a life that had somewhere turned bleak and lonely.

In his final hours, Peyton experienced moments of love and care that had been missing for so long. We cleaned his crusted nose, combed out his matts, and he purred, basking in the affection he so deserved. He clung to our warmth, his body going limp with trust and perhaps, relief.

This morning, we found him gone, his struggle quietly ended in the comfort of a soft blanket and a full belly. His departure is a profound reminder of the countless animals who face similar fates, animals whose stories go untold, whose lives end without a whisper.

Peyton's story is a glimpse into the harsh realities faced by many animals. It's a testament to the resilience and enduring hope they possess, even in the face of neglect and abandonment. It underscores the vital role shelters play – not just as a place of refuge, but as a final sanctuary where love and care are given, even if just for a moment.

As we mourn Peyton, let's remember the countless others like him. Each day, shelters across the country are filled with animals waiting for a second chance, for a family, for a home. They wait for someone to notice them, to care, to extend a hand of kindness.

Peyton's story is not just about loss; it's about awareness, compassion, and the bitter-sweet role shelters play in the lives of animals. In sharing his story, we hope to shed light on the unseen struggles and to inspire a community of care and support for these innocent lives.

Rest in peace, Peyton. In your final hours, you were surrounded by love, and your story will not be forgotten.

I had a ruff day .. I woke up this morning to all the fish in my pond eatten by a predator. 😿
I am devastated. 💔
I do want to give a special meow out to Brenda Johnson helping brighten my day up with her sweet gifts and donation to The Cat Club it is really coming in handy with a current sick kitten situation.
