Magic in Action looking like magic ✨

Huge thank you to Melissa and Equestroom for sponsoring this gorgeous full English set! It feels amazing and has Hue looking 🔥

I made the decision to show Hue English for the competition a while back due to his big lofty movement. He’s got quite a bit of knee action, especially if you push him forward. If anyone is looking for a nice English prospect I think he’ll suit it perfectly! Same as all the other horses he will be going through the auction at the end of the competition so if you are thinking about bidding on him and have any questions before hand you can always reach out to me!

Formally introducing “Magic in Action”, also known as Hue!

These are his recent promo photos vs some of his first progress report photos and the difference is actually mind blowing! This boy has cleaned up so nicely and will only continue to put on that muscle.

I’ve also included some photos of his ride today! We’ve still got quite a bit to go with his under saddle work but I’m so happy with how we’ve been doing. He will be available during the auction after the competition so if you think you might be interested in bidding on him and have any questions, feel free to message me anytime!

*FOR ADOPTION*

Sebastian is an 8 yr old mustang gelding from Triple B, NV. He was my sister’s mustang for the 2019 Midwest Horse Fair TIP challenge where they came in 3rd overall out of 50 competitors. After the competition he became my all around horse. I currently don’t have the time to give him the love and attention he deserves which is why I’ve decided to sell him. It is no fault of his own!

This horse is a dream trail horse. We have brought on him tons of camping trips and his ridden across many different terrain. He’s had many different levels of riders out on the trails and always taken care of them. In the arena he’s safe walk-trot-canter; ridden both English and western. He knows just about every trick, minus the rear. Sebastian will be best suited for someone who likes a horse with some go as he enjoys having a forward job. I think he will excel with someone who wants to do some showing and trail riding.

If you are interested and have any questions or would like more pictures as well as video, please message me!

It’s been a little while since I posted about Hue so here’s a quick little recap of something’s we’ve been working on the last couple of weeks!

After getting Hue’s first sit I decided to take a step back and make sure we had a solid foundation on the ground before moving on to any under saddle work. We spent about a week long lining in the arena and had multiple desensitizing sessions, mainly getting him used to things hanging off of him and tons of commotion. I’ve also spent a lot of time teaching him all the basic ground work; side passing, pivoting, etc.

Last week we had our first couple of rides in the round pen and today for ride number four I decided to bring him down to the arena to see how he would do. Overall he handled himself really well! He got a little hot when I asked for some speed but kept his brain and we finished on a high note. We have quite a bit of work to do but I’m so happy with how he’s been doing and the progress we’ve made!

*If you feel stressed out, just stay true to your emotions*

Well… When I made my latest post I thought it would take a couple of days before I would be able to make a lot of progress with the saddle but like he has done this entire training period so far, Hue has exceeded my expectations.

He really took me by surprise with how well he took all of this in stride. Hue was calm and relaxed the entire time I was showing him the saddle and it took me no time at all before he was fully tacked up without a care in the world. As you can see in the first picture by the end of my next session I was sitting on him!

He is honestly such a rare kind of horse with how well he thinks through new things and he is just the sweetest boy!

Leading ✅
Backing ✅
Brushing All Over ✅
Yielding the hindquarters ✅
And, as of today, Picking up all four feet✅

Hue has been doing amazing these last couple of days. He’s so much fun to work and extremely smart!

Now that he’s shown how comfortable he is on the ground it’s time to move onto the next part of his training- desensitizing to the saddle.

In one day this amazing mustang has went from Necktag #8912 to Hue!

Hue is the mustang that I picked up last Friday to train and compete with for the Mustang Heritage Spectacular in June. He is a 4-year old gelding from Devils Garden, CA, and an absolute sweet heart so far. Hue also just so happens to be my first ever adult horse that I get to train!

I plan on posting frequent updates on this guy and will be putting together a video on his training journey after the competition. He will be auctioned off at the end of the competition so if you’re interested in him please message me for any questions you may have!

It has been almost a week since the end of my last youth competition and in typical me fashion, I am making a very late update post 😅

V went off to her new home early Sunday morning and has been doing amazing with her new family! As far as the competition went, these were her placings:

Trail: 4th place
Handling and Conditioning: 10th place
Freestyle: 18th place

Overall we ended the weekend 8th place in the top ten! I was proud of how V handled herself at the show and happy with how we did. Although I have loved my journey as a youth I can’t wait to start in the adult division next year!

22/06/2023

We made it to the competition and the first class is already done!

We had our youth trail pattern this morning and V had a good, clean pattern. I’m very happy with how she handled herself, especially because there are 47 other youth horses for her to get distracted by and want to be with. Lets see how she does with her handling next!

03/06/2023

V had her first show today!

I entered her into a showmanship class to see how she would do in a show environment and she handled herself really well. Other than being a fidgety baby for her inspection, I was extremely proud of how she did!

To people who may be interested in her; she will be available following the Tennessee EMM in Franklin, TN. If you want any information on her please feel free to message me!

~When things get hard, stop for awhile and look back and see how far you’ve come~

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on Miss V here so I figured I should do a quick update on how she’s been doing! With the competition being only a couple weeks away we have been working mainly on polishing all of our ground work and going different places for off property experience.

Time to start working on freestyle 😅

V had her first off the property experience a couple days ago!

We hauled over to a barn that was somewhat close to us and overnighted there. V handled everything a lot better than I thought she would considering how much of a baby brain she has. Other than sometimes wondering where the other horses were, she handled herself amazingly! She listened very well and did everything that I asked of her.

I’m hoping to start taking her to some weekend shows to get some experience!

30 days into V’s training period and she is doing amazing!

The last two weeks I’ve been working on picking up all four of her feet, as well as getting her comfortable with me going all around her and touching everywhere.

She’ll be going for her first off property experience in a couple of days so stay tuned for that update to see how she handles that!

28/03/2023

V had a fun today doing some obstacles in the arena!

This was only her third time down to the arena and she has been handling herself so well. She’s taken almost every obstacle I’ve shown her is stride and is very willing when trying new things. She’s been making it very hard to not fall in love with her this past week 😅

20/03/2023

Little clip from our leading session today!

V has been taking everything that I throw at her in stride. We’ve been working a lot of leading lately, as well as allowing me to run all over her with my hand and some round pen work. Hoping to work on picking up feet these next couple of days!

From #9508 to V!

V has been doing amazing these last couple of days. She’s such a quick learner and has been a lot of fun to work with. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish in these next 100 days and I’m happy to be able to document her transformation on here!

New Mustang!!

Meet my draw for the Tennessee EMM youth division! This is going to be my last youth horse before I’m eligible for the adult division so I’m excited to see what I can do with her using all the skills I’ve learned throughout the years.

I plan on posting a lot of her journey and she will be available after the competition so if you’re interested in her please feel free to message me!

A little update on Jesse, my 2020 Georgia TIP Horse!

Jesse and I went to a Equine Trail Sports event today and he handled himself wonderfully. Today marked his 25th ride since being started a little over a month ago, so I wasn’t sure how he was going to do but he stayed calm and collected which I was really happy about. He’s heading off to his new home in about a week, he’s going to be a little girls heart horse which I’m really excited for. I love this little guy and can’t wait to see what he’ll do in the future with his new home!
