Pug Life of Max, Mia and Remo

Today 9 years ago my most stubborn pug was born.
Remo is the most stubborn and goofy pug you will ever meet! He will bulldose you with love and cuddles and does not like sharing his food. He did basic obience training and showed us he is a very clever pug. He loves his mom and dad and he will make sure the other dogs know he is the boss. Remo is the first and only pug that I will have since the day he was born, every day of his life has been with me. It's a privilege to be your human mommy, Remo! Happy Birthday Remo, together we learn life lessons and grow old together.

Today 10 years ago I took my best friend, Max home! Words can't describe how much he means to me. He has been there for me in so many ways over the years and is still always been there. Happy Got Ya Day Maxi! 🐶 ❤️

Yesterday my beloved princess Mia had a few seizures that was very confusing and hard to describe. I was terrified when it happend. 🥺

If you’ve ever seen a dog have a seizure, you know it’s scary. Your dog is fine one moment and then completely abnormal the next—her movements may be erratic or uncontrollable. Even if the seizure only lasts a few seconds, it can feel like an eternity. It may even be hard for you to describe what you’ve seen. As difficult as the moment of your dog’s seizure is, there is some comfort in knowing that your dog is not in pain. 🤗

We had to rush her to the vet and she is now on medication. We also found out that she is sadly mostly blind in her left. 🙁

Mia father was on medication for seizures chronically for years before he passed away and we suspect she must have inherented it from him. 🐶

One of the health issues that pugs usually have is seizures, eye problems, allergies,
Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome just to name a few.

Most Pugs live a long and happy life, even if these health issues need to be managed through appropriate vet care and a dedicated treatment plan. ♥️

It's important to recognize when your dog becomes a senior dog. It's important because their needs are different from those of puppies and adult dogs. For example, with senior dogs, veterinary visits for health issues become more frequent, their dietary needs change, and they may require medications or supplements on a regular basis to manage pre-existing conditions. 🐾🐾

Mia is doing fine today, had no seizures today and even went for a swim in their little splash pool today. 🥰

Today we celebrate Max 10th birthday and had to rush Mia to the nearest vet after she started getting seizures. 😔

The older my fur babies get the more care they need. Mia is now on medication for the seizures.

So this morning my mommy had a mini heart attack when she saw my nose bleeding, my pug face swolen and I was struggling with breathing.

Luckily mommy knows Pet First Aid. She also got medication from the vet for me.
