Good sense here. I will add that some doodles need grooming as often as every 2-4 weeks if the hair is going to be kept long and fluffy. Depending upon the coat texture, the longer coat can mat very quickly.

There are numerous breeds of dogs and cats who don't need a "haircut", but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be on a regular schedule with your professional groomer.

Your professional groomer provides much needed services that go beyond a "haircut" such as bathing with the proper products to promote healthy skin and coat, ear cleaning, removing dead undercoat, and properly trimming nails.

When our pets nails are not kept trimmed to the proper length, they continue to grow...usually curving and entering the pad of the toe as seen in this photo. This makes it very painful to walk and would be similar to a human walking with a rock in your shoe. Often, unkempt nails will actually grow into the pad leaving a hole in the pad that can easily become infected.

Please remember to keep your pets on a regular, pre-booked schedule recommended by your professional groomer...even if your pet doesn't need a haircut!
