It is with a sad heart that I must announce that I am not Starting up the Gourmet cart this year. Family health issues are more of a priority at this point. Thanks to everyone that supported me the last few Years, It has been Great!

I don't usually talk about myself on social media. But I though this week it was appropriate to tell you a little about where I come from. The "Vet" in Sgt Vet Chef has 2 meanings, the first is that I am a proud U.S.Military Veteran! 15 years ago, on 9/11, I stood in my office at Buckley Air Force Base, and watched the Airplane crash into the second tower. After I spent the next 2 hours helping load Live missiles and ammunition on F-16 fighter aircraft , I went home and went to bed. You see, my shop only had 2 airman in it and we knew that very hour that we were going to be flying 24/7, one of us on duty the whole time. I worked 12-14 hour shifts 7 days a week for the next 4 weeks, Keeping warplanes in the air over my HOME and yours. On November 11, 2001, 2 months later, I left for 6 months to support Operation Noble Eagle. NEVER FORGET!
