The way to Banker’s heart is treats 🥰 As a doggie who is not a fan of the snow or cold weather, he wants a cozy home of his own ❤️ This boy is around 1 year old and came to the shelter in rough shape, infested with fleas and underweight 🥺 Despite his tough start, he was such a good boy for his bath and treatment! Banker is still pretty scared of the shelter environment but shows lots of glimmers of his sweet personality 🥰
This sensitive pup isn’t a fan of the cold AT ALL but bravely goes out to potty—and he loved wearing a Santa coat for extra warmth! While too nervous for toys right now, he takes treats gently, adores butt scratches, and even gave us small kisses.
Banker is eager to leave the shelter and learn how to be someone’s best friend. He’s looking for a loving family to help him gain confidence and show him the joy of being a cherished companion. Could you be the one to make Banker’s dreams come true? 🏡❤️ Bring your whole family (cats in a hard carrier) in for a meet and greet!

FRY is a shy guy looking for love! He hasn't had the best care in his previous 4 years and we'd love to see that changed! He is definitely timid at first, but if you are gentle and don't push, he will come to you for love and pets and most definitely for treats! He has itchy skin that's being treated by staff and not just with extra scratchies! He also has a broken tooth that will need removed. Do not let that deter you from adoption, as the Friends of Stark Pound organization will assist adopter(s) with the cost of this when the time arrives.
FRY is one heck of a guy looking to make a real connection and overcome his past. Could you be the person he needs? 🍟

QUEEN is so excited to meet her forever family finally. She is only a 1 year old and can't wait to be loved and cuddled and admired. She loves treats so much and will do anything for one. We aren't sure if that's because she came in so incredibly underweight or if they're actually her favorite thing.. She will fill out with a consistent and healthy diet. We hope she never has to experience the abuse of being hungry or abandoned again. If you're ready to commit to a full time queen in your home, look no further than this good girl. Please allow plenty of decompression time so she can comfortably learn to trust again. 👑🥰

Have you ever seen a pit bull head on wiener dog legs?! Meet Jessie! This hilariously adorable girl had us laughing the whole time we interacted with her. We learned she loves cheese and treats but not cheese cans 😆 the dachshund in her loves to sniff and smell and the pit bull side is playful and loving. A perfect blend 🥰
Jessie was in a home with dogs and kids with which she did well, but she needs a home with NO kitties. She loves to play and will need an active home. She’s an absolute lover and gives kisses and adores pets. She is already housebroken and is very treat motivated so training will be a breeze.
If you are looking for a dog that will keep you laughing and boost your serotonin just by looking at her, Jessie is your gal. Come meet her and see if she is the right match for you!!

CORRIE is an 8 month old ball of pawsitive energy. She is already a big beautiful girl at 54 lbs and is not quite finished growing. She is super gentle, but also quirky and playful. She loves to jump up, but she also knows "sit" and has found some very cute and unique ways to get treats. She will need a patient, but active family that is willing to support and love her while she grows and learns. Come meet Corrie if you want every day to be a happy day. 🌞

*~* SUNDAY SENIOR SPOTLIGHT *~*
Allie does the CUTEST tippy taps with her toes 🥹🥹 she loved just “hanging with the girls” today and is looking for someone she can hang out with forever. She was returned for chasing the kitties in the home so a kitty-free home or a savvy owner that can train her that kitties aren’t squirrels 🐿️ ❤️
Sweet Allie is a 7 year old senior who’s all smiles and has been looking for her forever family since June 30th 😭 At 44 pounds, this gentle girl is a joy on walks, letting her nose lead the way 👃🏼. We think she knows the word "treat" and takes them so gently ❤️.
Allie may be in her golden years, but she’s still got some pep in her step and loves to play! She might be dog selective, so bring your whole family to meet her. She does need a kitty free home.
This happy girl makes the most of her time out and doesn’t like to sit still for long 😆 A shelter is no place for a senior like Allie. She’s ready to find a cozy home to live out her retirement. If you’re looking for a super sweet, easy-going bestie, look no further than Allie. She deserves a home filled with love and never to feel abandoned again. 🏡 She can’t wait to be smiling for her adoption photo!
Don’t forget every dog comes with 2 free session with Hopebridge RTA should you need them. Adopters should research post-adoption decompression and the rule of 3: 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to learn your routine and 3 months to start to feel at home.

SKYE is a beautiful 2 year old who was certainly loved in a home before. We have no idea what happened or why she is here as she is the sweetest, most gentle girl and cannot fathom that no one is out looking for her frantically. She is timid and nervous about her situation at the pound. However her fears quickly fade away when she is being petted or cuddled. She is super gentle and will need an owner who is as well so she can get comfortable and begin to trust again. She has been trying to keep her cage clean, but it's so hard when you're not used to living in a kennel all day, every day. Let's make this cutie's stay a short one! Come visit the Stark county Dog Warden and ask for volunteer favorite, Skye! 🥰

OHIO is looking for a home he can believe in! This handsome 3 year old will need to be the ONLY PET IN THE HOME. No exceptions.
He has some irritation on his hind legs and seemed to be struggling to sit while getting pets because of it. We are unsure of the cause but our best guesses are a car accident or allergies and chewing behavior. Regardless of the cause, follow up care will be needed. We loved meeting Ohio and giving him a solid 10 minutes of butt scratches alone. I mean, this guy just kept coming back for them. Whoever adopts this good boy will need to make sure he gets plenty in his new home. 🧡🖤

CHEYENNE is a beautiful brindle girl around 3 years old. She is very sweet, but a bit shy and timid at first. She probably is very unsure and scared about the current situation she finds herself in. She warmed up to me after a few minutes of gentle pets and treats, and staff say she is becoming more comfortable there every day. She will require proper decompression once in her new home and it may take a while, so she will need a patient owner who is committed to her comfort and happiness. We hope Cheyenne's special someone comes soon to guide her home and fill her life with all the love. 💖 If interested, please visit at the Stark County Dog Warden.

UPDATE: ADOPTED 🙏🏼 JASPER is a handsome little guy who knows how to be heard. Whether he wants treats, attention, or to go inside, he will most certainly let you know. He's very gentle and loves a good cuddle session. He's only a year old and has tested positive for Lyme disease as well as had a mass removed from his mouth. Staff are waiting for biopsy results, but please don't let this stop you from coming out to meet Jasper and giving him a chance at the best and happiest life... This sweet boy truly deserves it all. 💗

It's impossible not to fall for the beautiful TESA.This good girl is 4 years old and 48 lbs. She was shy at first but quickly came around once we started to play in the snow. She loved toys, treats, and scratches but I think her favorite thing was cuddling and getting attention. I'm not sure how much love she's gotten in her past, but she certainly got a lot from me today and hopefully even more in the near future. Tesa is available for adoption at the Stark County Dog Warden. Please come rescue this sweet girl soon 💖
