We are a group of volunteers that works with local shelters for any pet that's down on their luck on the journey home. Dogs and cats most often do not show well in a kennel environment and some get continuously passed up because of this. Having worked in rescue for years, our team knows these dogs just need attention and a lot of love! We spend time with each pet to capture their true nature's thr

ough photography or video and share them on social media. Creativity is key to getting pets noticed and sometimes getting noticed in a timely manner can mean the difference between life and death for an orphaned animal. Our team is dedicated to doing everything we can to help these pets through professional photography, video biographies, and marketing the heck out of local dogs and cats in need! Do you know a dog or cat that needs some "extra oomph" to find a home? We will work with any shelter or rescue in and around the Akron-Cleveland Area. Free to use for noncommercial promoting of the pet pictured in photograph without modification. "The Shelter Pet Studio" logo must remain on the photo and not be cropped out, covered, blurred or otherwise altered in any way. We want to spread the word and help other pets so please don't remove or cover up our logo. If you have a special project with a pet you're trying to get adopted that requires this... let us know and we'll work with you to get you what you need!!

Check out how this boy calms down after playtime 😍 Meet Moco! This big, lovable guy is estimated to be around 3 years old (though we think he might be a bit younger) 🐾. With his bright white teeth and puppy-like energy, he keeps us all entertained! Moco has the most adorable way of bouncing around with his toys and loves to show off his skills—he knows sit and down and is very treat-motivated (plus, he takes them oh-so-gently) 🦴❤️.

He’s full of life and starts off with LOTS of energy, but once he’s had his fun, he’s all about cuddles, belly rubs, and being close to his people 🥰. Moco is strong on a leash and will thrive with someone ready to give him the structure and activity he craves, as well as all the love he deserves. He’s also incredibly gentle with toys and will keep you laughing with his goofy personality 🎾🐶.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a big heart and a big personality, Moco might just be the perfect fit! Come meet him with the whole family (cats in an hard carrier) and see if he’s your new best friend! 🏡

Meet our Hank 🥰 He’s been through so much, and he’s still wagging his tail and full of love to give 😍 Hank was found by some Good Samaritans who rescued him off the side of a busy highway. When they found him, he was SO emaciated that he had to wait several weeks to gain enough weight before he could be neutered and placed up for adoption. Even now, Hank is still a little underweight, but he’s making great progress on a slow feed protocol to help him safely reach a healthy weight… the stressful shelter isn’t helping though!

Despite everything, Hank is as sweet as they come. He’s willing to do anything for a treat, including showing off his skills on the agility equipment. And if he’s at face height? Get ready for a flurry of kisses! 💋 While Hank absolutely adores humans, he’s a little more selective when it comes to other dogs. A meet and greet with any potential dog siblings is a must. As for cats, we’re not sure yet, so please bring them in a hard carrier to see if they’ll be able to coexist safely.

Hank is so deserving of a happy ending, and we’re hoping he doesn’t have to wait too long to find his forever home. Could you be the one to give Hank the love and care he needs? He promises to be a rawr-some dog for you 🥰

PLUG is a beautiful 3 year old German shepherd. He is 61 lbs and bursting with energy. However, he is fairly obedient still and will sit and lay down for a treat when asked. He needs a vigilant owner to keep a close eye on him as he has an affinity for escaping and going off on adventures. His ideal family will keep him very busy and active so that he is too happy and tired to have any solo journeys. 😊

PIXY has had a rough start to life. It appears that this gorgeous girl was used for breeding and arrived heartworm positive. She has been spayed and begun treatment antibiotics. She has the full support of Friends of Stark Pound and they will assist with injections when the time comes up to $500. She is such a good girl who deserves to have the happiest future. Can you open your heart and your home to this sweet girl who is down on her luck? 🥺🙏

FEZ is 2 years old and 33 lbs of love and s***k! He needs lots of love and guidance from his future forever family. He seems to feel most comfortable and safe when he is able to be held or hugging someone he trust. He was always super gentle about it though. His leash manners have been improving every day since he is so eager to learn and please everyone. Fez hopes he will be the perfect fit for your home! 💕

**LONGEST RESIDENT**

Bruce Tank LOVES toys 🤩 what he does not love is pound life. 🥹 This cuddly boy is getting super frustrated at the pound and uses toys to take it out on. He shreds plush toys and chews hard on durable toys - like a self-soothing behavior 🥺 He’s so lonely and needs out - please share! He’s been available since 6/1 and so cute inside and out 🥰😍 he may have potential with SLOW introductions to another dog but needs a kitty-free home.

Sweet boy Bruce Tank is a 7 1/2 year old boy that is extremely housebroken - he holds his potty for really long hours until he gets his turn outside. Right out of the kennel, he is very strong, and being a big boy, he will walk you. Once he’s pottied and had time to get the crazies out, he walks much better ☺️ When he first came to the pound, he was calmer and wanted to just be a lap dog. Since being in a lonely kennel, Bruce Tank is now starting to show signs of stress and anxiety 🥺

Bruce Tank is a senior spending too long in the shelter. He only needs a short amount of time to play before he poops out and we think he’ll be much calmer in a home environment where he gets the time and attention he needs. But he’d love for you to have some durable chew toys for him to play with 🥰

If you’re looking for a sweet companion, give Bruce Tank some time to realize you’re there for him. With his tennis ball in his mouth, he loved Olivia’s pets and butt scratches. Let’s help him get back into a home where he is loved and cherished. ❤️
