Growing flowers has been one of the most rewarding and challenging things I’ve ever done. I joke that I’m glad I didn’t know how hard, or I probably wouldn’t have started.

I’m so thankful for my supportive community, my lovely customers who buy all the flowers, my fiends here who share in my success and failures, and all the amazing people who have helped me along the way. ✌🏻

Thank you Alex for capturing these beautiful images and supporting Local Farmers & Growers 💗📸

HELLO Clementine 🍑🧡🍊🔥

Last fall I received my order of Ranunculus corms. They were tiny and somewhat unimpressive. I went ahead and processed as I’ve done in the past. Soaking, presprouting and planted out into the garden.

The trauma of a horrible season last year still fresh in my mind, mostly due to wet and extreme cold for us.. and damn aphids.

I could have gave up after a bad, expensive failure or written that crop off. I could have not planted out the unattractive corms because they looked like they would not perform.

But despite all that I had to try again. The stars aligned and just look at these beauties. 💗 Keep trying, you never know. Give it your best shot.

Growing for production takes time and patience. Sometimes things don’t work or Mother Nature throws a curve ball.

BUT how incredible when things work. 💫💗

Got the best ever Ranunculus, tall with extremely sturdy stems. They are blowing my mind and I can’t wait to get them in your hands! 💓💓💓

Lets talk about Cold Hardy Flowers. Some of my Favorites! Ranunculus, Foxgloves, Sweet Peas, Tulips just to name a few... those early spring flowers that come once things start to warm up.

I group all the varieties I grow into either warm season or cool season. Just like veggies certain flowers require a cool period. Fall is a great time to plant, they will slowly grow and get established through the winter months and reward us with blooms in early spring.

Since many of you will be growing these varieties along with me I thought it would be fun to share a little bit about each type and some tips & tricks. Also, check out for great resources and selection and also the Cool Flowers book by Lisa at the

First up: Snapdragons (Antirrhinum majus)
They come in 4 harvest groups and several bloom types. Some of my favorites are the Madame Butterfly and Chantilly series.

I think these are the smallest seeds we use, like a speck of dust. I prefer to start the tiny seeds indoors in soil blocks under lights, then bump up outside in the hoop house after a few weeks. These seeds need light to germinate so they do not get covered on the soil block.

They do need to be netted to keep nice straight blooms and can be pinched early on to promote branching. They produce lots of stems, great for bouquets and even have a second flush.

Fun fact they are geotropic, meaning gravity affects the stem shape and if laid flat they will curve. Also they are edible and can be used in drinks, garnishes, and desserts.

scroll to see a 22 day old snap ready to be bumbed up! Happy Planting! 🌱

There is no better combination than flowers with a heart for helping others. We are coming together to give aid to organizations on the ground in Afghanistan helping the women and children. Our hearts are heavy, we want to offer flowers for hope.

Bouquets will be for sale from August 30th - September 6th.

Bouquets will be hand-tied and wrapped with paper. The bouquets will include a vase for easy transport. They will be filled with 10-15 stems of late summer grasses, fresh blooms and local flowers. Color palettes may vary depending on seasonal local flowers. There is also an option for a virtual bouquet for those who are unable to be here in person. Once you make your purchase you will receive our Flowers for Hope artwork to post, email and share with friends and family. This is a great option to do for someone that comes to mind when you think of generosity and love.

Please visit [email protected] to see our offerings.

100% of all profits will go directly to these organizations, Women for Women International and Enabled Children.

Bouquets can be picked up across Jacksonville and St. Augustine on Friday September 10th from 10 am - 2 pm. Location can be selected during check out.

Thank you for helping us help others and for standing in the gap with us for our sisters and their children of Afghanistan!
