We haven't been to a festival for a long while so we went to a little one today, Folk on the Farm, near Lichfield. I think I was the main attraction as so many people wanted to say hello to me and give me a fuss.
Lots of good music, and a PORK BAP😋. And the rain held off until the very end😁

We're a bit late posting this one (it's Dad's fault😆).
Last Sunday we went to support the Calliwag on her first junior park run. 1.2 km 😮, which she managed like a champion.
I would have joined her, but the joints and breathing aren't up to it these days😒

Yesterday was my 12th birthday!🎂
We normally celebrate it by going to the seaside, but Dad decided it was too hot and too far for me these days, so we stayed home and pretended🤣
I had an ice cream and then went for a walk around Stowe Pool (well it is water😁). The chish & fips shop that we walked to wouldn't serve us😠 so we went home and Dad got them from the one up the road and we ate them in our back yard. Dad has to separate mine out on the paper so they cool quicker. They were lovely 😋🤩. They're the best thing about birthdays.

We went on another trip to Dad's ancestral homelands and naturally had to have some chish & fips from the best shop on the east coast. I'm not saying that just because the lady gave me a sausage, honest.
The weather was much better than we expected, but the wind was cold (as always!) so we ate them in the shelter in the sun.
It's a long boring journey, but I love it when we're there.

All set up and waiting for the hordes to return from their walk at the Golden Get Together at Cliff Lakes today and buy all my Gorgeous Goodies.
I might look very innocent, but while Dad was preoccupied, I decided to go for a wander, just as everyone was setting off. Dad chased after them, thinking I was going with all the other dogs, but in fact I'd gone to investigate the club house and was rifling through a lady's handbag. Thanks Hayley for ringing Dad up at letting him know where I was.
After Dad recovered from his near heart attack, we sold all our biscuits very quickly. Apologies to al those dogs whose parents were too late. We'll try making more next time.
Anyway, we made a grand total of £189, which will all be going to Happy Paws.
See you all again at the January meet-up 😁

We had a great time today at the mini Golden Get Together at Sutton Park.
We only managed to make 10 bags of pumpkin Gorgeous Goodies dog biscuits, but they sold out very quickly and all the money will go to Happy Paws. The dogs seemed to like them.
I got extremely muddy and smelly in a bog that everyone else was avoiding, but Dad made me wash it all off in a stream and then the lake.
Very happy and tired now💤

This afternoon it was lovely and I was feeling good, so I decided we would walk up to Pipe Hall Farm. Well, the Woodland Trust had set up a gazebo, so I just had to go and say hello to the people who were manning it. I got lots of fuss from the lady but had to remind her that we were already members. Such a great charity, providing us with such wonderful place to run and play (and roll in the winter and spring, when we call it the Mudland Trust😁. Oh and the trees are nice as well.

Last week I went to see the lovely people at Pool House Vets for a full MOT as I haven't been feeling up to par lately Well, they shaved my tummy and patches on both my front legs. Then I went off for a nice sleep. When Dad came to pick me up in the evening, I was still feeling very woozy and I was still a bit wobbly in the morning.
The lady vet and Dad had a long chat on the phone yesterday and I've got some new meds today. Hopefully I'll be back to my old puppy self fairly soon (well maybe not quite but we can always hope😁).

Due to the forecast heatwave later this week, Dad decided to take a bit more of my coat off last night. He lays me on the ground and does each side in turn.
This morning we were out at 6.30 and it was lovely and cool. He says I still look like a wooly mammoth 🤣.
Some more may come off later.

Ha ha! A good morning at the Woodland Trust! I found a ball as soon as we went through the gate. When I find one I like to roll on it to give it my scent and show it's mine. Of course that makes my head really wet. But Dad always takes it off me just before we leave so another doggie can enjoy it. Well I've plenty of my own at home.

26/06/2022

Well we went and had a nice icey cooly this afternoon. Dad took a great video of me chomping on it, but FB says the file is too big to load. He tried shortening it but it was still too big, so you're not going to have the joy of seeing it. Just use your imaginations😁

Not too difficult was it?
11 whole years.
We were going to the seaside to see some HP friends, but they've caught some lurghi and we've got to keep away. Really hope they feel better soon.
We've decided to stay close to home for the day. I'll miss my chish & fips as the shops here are all closed today. I think I might get an icey Cooley later, though

Well today we went on the March for Men that we've been telling you all about.
Naturally lots of people wanted to take photos of me in my t-shirt. In fact it slowed us down on the walk, not helped by me wanting to say hello to the marshals. I got a bit hot so I went for a paddle and then got a medal for finishing.
Afterwards Dad sat down with a pizza and I had the crusts. As usual, I think that was the best part of the day.
Thanks a lot for all my supporters, it all goes to s really important cause. If you've got a couple of quid (or more of course) please follow the link below

This afternoon we tried on our March for Men T-shirts ready for the event on Saturday. We've both put on a bit of weight, but Dad's got an excuse (so he says😄).
Many thanks for those who have already supported us, but, as always, we could do with a few more quids. If you could manage to donate a little bit, please go to the link below:-

Well, that was a really different day!
As Dad didn't want leave me alone with my bandaged ear, he took me to Alrewas were he was playing with Go Ukulele Crazy.
The photo isn't very good as we were packed into a gazebo. Apologies to anyone who's foot I sat on. I laid down, but got up after each number, as I thought the applause was for me😁.
Joanna the boss lady was pleased with the playing so everyone was very happy.
I wagged my tail a lot and said hello to lots of nice people and leaned on lots of legs!😀.
But the best bit was the ice cream afterwards 😋.

Just back from the vets with my cone of shame.
Actually Dad's taken it off as I bash into everything in our little house, but he's watching so I don't scratch my ear.
I'm really really sleepy but I can smell he's cooking me some chicken and rice so I'll stay awake until that's ready.
Back to normal tomorrow (hopefully).

Dad took me to Chasewater today, saying I was going to meet some old friends.
Well, it was Freddie and Jenny, who I used to know when we walked with one of my favourite Aunties, Sue Hanslow who's very sadly not with us any more.
Simon and Tracey Wall fostered them a little while back and have now decided to keep them. They're now living a wonderful life along with Tara and Flossie. Freddie's especially pleased as he's now got a harem of three!😁
It was Freddie's birthday, so we took him some of my Gorgeous Goodies, though he's not really a treat doggie. Jennie loves them, though.
As you can see, Jennie had already been in the water, and I just had to go in, a little later.
Dad agreed with Tracey and Simon that we will have to meet up again. Great!

Had a lovely day at Coombe Park with my (and Dad's) two favourite people. Calliwag scooted on her scooter and I found a stream to cool off in.
Afterwards we went to the pub and I had a Yorkshire pudding and 2 roast potatoes. I think that might have been the best part of the day😁.
I'm back home now snoring.

19/05/2022

Back to the vets yesterday, to let them have a look at a lump I've grown on the end of my ear and also to discuss why the Metacam doesn't seem to having the desired effect. After Dad and the vet lady chatted for a while, she suddenly got a buzzy thing out and shaved a lump out of my leg hair. Then another lady came in and tried to hold my leg still while the vet lady tried to stick a pricky thing in my leg, which I let them know I didn't like. Dad got me to lie down and gave me lots of scrundles on my head and ears and then I didn't really notice as she stole some of my blood.
Anyway, the lady vet rang back today and said my blood was OK, so I can have the lump off next week, but Dad's got to go to the big human vets then, so it will have to be a bit later.
I'll keep you posted.

04/05/2022

Dad and I are after your money again, but for a different cause this time.
We're going on the Birmingham March for Men 2022 in Cannon Hill Park on Saturday 11th June, in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. We went on the last one in 2019 and I was incredibly popular as I was wearing one of the official t-shirts and had 1000s of photos taken of me. You can see one of them here. I even got on Midlands Today when I went to say hello to the cameraman.
As a very lucky survivor of the disease due to our wonderful NHS, it's a charity very close to Dad's heart (or maybe a little lower!). They do an enormous amount of research and provide advice and support to men with, or suspect they might have, prostate cancer. In the UK, 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime ( rising to 1 in 4 among parts of the ethnic community), more than 47,500 men are diagnosed with the disease and more than 11,500 die from it every year.
Anyway, we're asking you to donate if you can and you can do it by going to justgiving.com and looking for Richard and Guy's March for Men 2022 Birmingham. Follow the link below:-
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/march-for-men-2022-birmingham-13492?utm_medium=email&utm_source=ExactTarget&utm_campaign=20220504_&mi_u=11251848&mi_ecmp=LFCFRUK_Day1_ReturnNonSport
We'd be very grateful for any pennies you can spare.

This is rather old news now, but Dad hasn't managed to get a photo of both of us together.
A few weeks ago Dad brought home another black pantherette. This one is really shy, not 'assertive' like The Princess of Darkness. He's called her Nina, for reasons he thinks are fairly obvious - something to do with music.
Auntie Vicky called her Suki v2.0!
Anyway, she's started to come out of her shell a bit now so I'm seeing a lot more of her, though she tends to skirt around me. We've got lots of time to make friends.
