This is a year of firsts! I have to tell you I haven’t been this stressed over pet care in a while.

My client left last Monday and I had a chrysalis in my care. (Along with several cats.) And yesterday this monarch emerged victorious! I was not prepared.

She wasn’t happy with the mashed banana or watermelon cube I initially tried, but after finding some milkweed for her she literally jumped for joy!

My two examples of patience. Georgia and Tennessee have been with me since they were six weeks old. They were terrified, feral kittens rescued from under a porch. They are now 18 month old cats still in my foster care. I’ve gained their trust to a point where they no longer hide. When I sit quietly they come to me seeking attention and ear scritches and chin rubs.

I never gave up hope they would trust me. It will take time, but they will learn to trust another person. They are available from Hero’s Haven Animal Rescue at a reduced adoption fee.

Will you give them their forever home filled with trust and love?

What kind of person stoops so low to make money breeding dog specifically for selling them for research purposes?

I’m only posting this to make people aware of the atrocities that happen to animals and the guilty are slapped on the wrist and sent to bed without dinner. Do you think a $55k fine is going to stop this piece of crap?
