What is left of Dulmes Poultry will be going to the Fond Du Lac small animal swap in the morning! I will have a pair of D’uccles, and quite a few pairs/trios of Bantam Anconas to sell. Everything is being sold first come, first serve. It is easiest that way.

Although I’m sad to see my two favorite breeds leaving, I’ve realized that I will not be able to give much attention to the chickens while gone at school. So, in fairness to my hard work and breeding for the past 8 years, I’m going to find homes for all the chickens so that others can hopefully continue their breeding. I plan on getting birds each summer so that I can continue to show. I am just taking a break on breeding. Thank you to everyone who has helped me and bought from me throughout the years!

Birds are sorted and we are ready for the fond du lac swap tomorrow morning.

-Quail D’Anvers
-Blue/Splash silkies

Also will be bringing some wire dog kennels that I have used as bantam breeding pens.

First come first serve at the swap. Will not hold birds and must pick up at the swap.

This years hatching season is off to a slow start, but we are starting to get some chicks to hatch out. This year I will not be hatching out as many birds as I normally do as I not only have limited space in my heated room, but I also will be going to college this fall and will need to downsize my flock. If and when I have breeding birds available, I will post them.

New for the 2021 breeding season, we will be working with blue/Black/Splash silkies! Can’t wait to start hatching chicks from them!

Breeding pens are pretty much all set for breeding season! This year I made the decision to consolidate all of my birds into our heated room inside our barn. Although this means that I am not able to keep as many birds through winter, I am excited for the idea of no frozen waters!!

The brooders are filling up!

Our completed brooder room. For the past few years, we have kept our chicks in the basement and the garage, but this year we figured it was time to improve our setup. Last fall we built this insulated room in our barn for our chicks. So far it has worked out very well and we are very happy with it. I hope to eventually get automatic waters going to each pen to make the setup even better.
