Hi! My name is Skipper and I am a very lucky little dog with a big personality. Everywhere I go, I make new friends and find lots of other dogs to play with.

In October 2016, when I was about 2 years old, my human adopted me from what's now known as Los Adoptables, a wonderful rescue organization in Punta Banda, Baja California, Mexico and brought me to live the good life in San Diego, CA. (Obviously, I'm all for easy cross-border immigration and I p*e on Trump and his wall! Actually, I like to p*e on almost anything--after all, I'm a VIP---Very Import

ant Pup--- and I have to leave my mark so everyone will know I've been places and stuff.) I really lucked out because my human is a travel writer (you can check out her website at www.BorderlinesFoodandTravel.com), so I've been going on lots of adventures with her and just having so much fun! I'm certain that the only reason any human ever sits down is to make a lap for me to jump in! I love San Diego because there are so many great dog parks and dog beaches where I can run around leash free, as fast as I want. (Don't worry, I always come back when my human whistles for me, and she didn't even have to teach me to do that!) I'm tri-lingual, too! I understand Spanish, my native lanuage, and I learned English while I was at the rescue. Of course, I also speak Doggish, which is the universal canine language, without national boundaries. So, welcome to my page where you can see all the cool things I get to do. And one more important thing---remember, there are zillions of wonderful pets like me looking for their furever homes, so adopt, don't shop! For many, it's a matter of life and death!

By the time my human realized that it was National Dog Day today, I was already crashed out in my favorite sleeping position! Jeesh! Anyhow, Happy Dog Day to all who celebrate! (And for those who don't, what are you, a cat or something?)

Those who know me, know I can be rather aloof---or should I say aWoof! But when I met this dog, I liked him immediately and wanted to do zoomies with him. And guess what his name is? Skipper!! Mi Tocayo!! (My Mexican friends will know what that means! Jaja)

This is my absolute favorite toy! I love to chase it and give it a good beat down when my mom throws it for me. I know it looks like a coronovirus molecule, but I found it on a dog beach more than 6 months before anyone ever heard of covid! Lol

One of my favorite things to do here in the Lafayette/ Breaux Bridge area where I spend winters, is to go kayaking with my humans! I get soo excited when I see my lifejacket going in the car. I'm a very good boy in the kayak--I sit quietly in front of Mom and don't move around, cuz I'd hate to tip us over with all those alligators in the lake!!! (Don't worry, Mom makes sure we don't get too close to them!)

Luckily my human doesn't feed me any of these! I eat Supreme Source kibble, Primal or Stella & Chewy Freeze-dried or frozen raw beef, and Grandma Mae's Country Naturals dried beef!

The worst dog food brands in America are also some of the most popular brands, even if they are unhealthy choices for canine companions.

Well, it might have been cold and drizzly today, but I still had lots of fun at the Krewe Des Chien Mardi Gras parade here in Lafayette! Even better, I got to watch it with a super cute poodley pup named Nora who I happened to be standing next to!

Santa was VERY good to me! I got lots of treats and a new toy that I love. It almost made it worth having to wear this stupid elf suit, which I figured out how to take off when Mom wasn't looking!( I flat out refused to wear the hat, though!)

Oh boyo boy! My girl Sassy came to spend the day, and we're gonna have a slumber party too!! We've been playing non-stop, but I think she's gonna totally wear me out! I gotta be careful with these young chicks, I mean pups!
