Everyone welcome Henry to the Helping Hand For Animals family!!!

Henry is a standard schnauzer that is almost 2 years old neutered and up to date on shots. (Approximately 25 lbs) I will be taking him on as my personal foster dog.

Henry has a tendency to latch on to a single person in the house and will bite to keep other people far away! He has bitten adults and children that come too close to his human, so I recommend he doesn't go to a home with kids.

However if you are lucky enough to be Henry's person you get to see his sweet side! He loves to cuddle and loves his belly scratched. He hasn't had a single accident in my house. He hasn't chewed on anything other than his toys and bones. He is a fairly low maintenance dog and would make a great addition to a low traffic household!

*Aelia Update*

I received an email from Aelia's family and she fits into her new home "seamlessly"! This definitely made my day!!

Her new owner is deaf so Aelia has to follow mostly hand signals for her commands. I left them with a few hand gestures I use with my commands, I wonder what other ones she has learned!

Trial run for a possible new foster!
Henry is a 1.5 year old standard schnauzer. He has some issues in the home that rescued him with another dog and guests that come to visit. He has been here for most of the day and so far things are going well! We will see how he gets along with the other boarding dogs in a couple days before I make an official decision. I will also try to get more of his backstory!

Everyone say hi to Charlie!
His current home adopted him and he does great with his Mom and dog sister, but barks and bites the human men in his house!

He is here for boarding/evaluation at the moment, and is 1 of 2 potential foster dogs I will be evaluating this week!

He has a good chance of being MY next dog! I've always wanted a "chocolate dapple" dachshund, except the long haired version. Even though he doesn't have long hair I might keep him anyways!

Ruby - 6 year old Rottweiler
Ruby will be 6 this April. This gem of a girl does well with other dogs - as long as there aren’t treats or balls involved.
She adores the company of her human family members. Older children preferred.
Ruby is Fully vetted and Spayed.
As with all pure breeds, it is preferred that her new family is familiar with rotties.

I got to train a pack of American Bullys today!
They are one of my favorite breeds but they have a lot of strength at a very young age and can be a problem for even the most experienced dog owners. It is important to show them as a puppy that their strength doesn't get them rewards in your house, but their respectful behavior gets rewarded all of the time!

It feels weird not being a dog owner for the first time in about a decade. Almost like I don't have enough to do during the day. Please help me fill this hole in my life by sending me your dog's dogs for boarding!

Requirements:
*Fully vaccinated.
*Potty trained.
*Can't jump baby gates or 4ft chain link fence.
*Fairly socialized (nervous dogs are ok, just not aggressive).
*Have completed 1 in home training sessions with me.
*Overnight boardings only, this is not dog daycare or a board and train program.

Thank you everyone for the kind words about lana.
I bought Lana 7 years ago with the thought of becoming a dog breeder. After being in the dog business for a year and being offered so many free dogs, I quickly decided against that!

Her job turned into keeping the crazy boarding dogs in line and to help the timid boarding dogs gain confidence. She didn't get to go to as many training sessions as Luther, but if your dog has boarded at my house, there is a good chance they were good friends with Lana during that time!

If you are looking for a 2nd dog to be a companion for your current dog, I suggest you meet my foster Aelia! This is her after only knowing this dog for 2 days. She has met 40-50 boarding dogs since she has been with me and she has done well with all of them!

She is fairly low maintenance and the only issue you will experience is separation anxiety, at least until she gets used to your schedule.

If you have an area to baby gate her in with no furniture, a window for her to look out, and a well mannered dog to hangout with, you might not run into these issues at all!
