Gordo is still a puppy really, at 1 1/2 years old, and what a happy puppy he is! He's a pointer mix that came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. Gordo goes out for a walk and looks around like he doesn't know what to do or sniff first! He's very excited initially and sort of......darts back and forth. Don't worry though, once his initial excitement diminishes, Gordo walks perfectly on a leash and is a real gentleman. Off a leash, Gordo is so happy to zoom around, chasing after a ball, or just happily check things out. Gordo could use just a little training but he already knows to sit when asked and even offer you a paw. He takes treats very gently and he's not one to get crazy over toys. He grew up around kids and is fine with them, and he's happy to meet other dogs (no cats for Gordo though). He's so deserving of a great home to grow up in! 🐾 Urgent Plea for Help! 🐾

Today did not go as planned, but maybe it was meant to be. I should not have gone to the shelter. With no open fosters, there was no way to save a life. Yet one look at the boy now named Gabriel (Gabe) whose namesake we rescued many years ago, we just knew there was no walking away.

Meet this precious micro bully, a soul in desperate need of our compassion and support. His frail body speaks of the hardships he's endured, and his beautiful eyes are clouded with infection, robbing him of clear vision.

Despite his suffering, this sweet soul still finds it in his heart to share kisses – perhaps his way of asking for help, love, and a second chance at life. We've rushed him to Rogers Vet because we believe every life deserves a chance.

But now, dear friends, we are at a crossroads. Our dedicated volunteers are stretched thin, and we've reached our capacity. We turn to you, our extended family, with a heartfelt plea: Can you find it in your heart and your precious time to open your home to foster this angelic baby?

Your love and care could be the lifeline he so desperately needs. Together, we can make a difference, heal his wounds, and give him the life he deserves. Please, consider opening your heart to this precious soul.
