I tried taking some fall pictures of the girls with their little German Shepherd brother. It didn’t work out like I planned. The newish neighbors a few houses down have dogs that are outside and bark nonstop and their voices carry which is annoying so being outside even in the country on 5 acres sucks. So here’s what I got of my 2 gorgeous pregnant ladies. Priscilla is due on October 5th and Grace is due on the 11th. 🐾🐾

Happy National Daughters Day to my two Golden fluff butts! Both my girls are currently pregnant with Priscilla being expected to deliver around October 5th, and Grace a couple weeks later. They both definitely have their own personalities even though they’re littermate sisters. They have brought so much love and laughter into our home in only 4 short years and we’re blessed! I heard growling so I did a quick room check since I heard the Chuckit balls being squeaked, and it was Priscilla. She was entertaining herself lol. She drug a blanket up on their lofted bed, and was rolling on her squeaker ball on her back growling. Grace was laying on the floor by my feet and I know if she could talk she’d say “see I’m not the only dummy!” Haha

A pregnant Gracie Mae on her back trying to get little Shepherd brother to play but he’s too busy telling mom that sissy Priscilla stole his favorite blue ball! Since Priscilla stole his blue ball she has been walking around with it in her mouth for a long time now this morning just so proud of herself! Haha gotta love siblings being their silly self’s on a Saturday morning. (Well technically only Grace and Priscilla are siblings 😉) 🐾❤️💙

Happy National Dog Day! As if that wasn’t everyday being a doggo momma. Here’s some pictures of my 2 Golden Girls Priscilla Lilly and Grace Mae and our male German Shepherd Sgt. Ares. Our 16 year old dog Jack is blind and deaf and not as engaged and active with us anymore so I’ll post some old pictures of him. These are some of the photos I have on my phone, so there’s more in the photos album that’s I’ve posted over the years of my girls. It has a limit apparently and won’t let me post more. There’s some of Scarlett, the girls half sister, when we had her here with us. Enjoy all the photos and memory lane lol. 🐾❤️

I woke up this morning and saw Priscilla laying on her back with her feet up! Normally only Gracie does this, so I slowly reached for my phone and caught this quick picture. Here’s a couple others of my beautiful pregnant girls and our Shepherd sleeping in bed with mommy this morning. Luckily we have a king sized bed. I have a good excuse sleeping in now, I blame it on my pregnant girls hahaha! 🐾

Let’s try this again.. I attempted to make a post about our family camping trip yesterday but it never posted and now I have to retype it lol. Gotta love technology, when it works.

We took one of our many summer camping trips this weekend. Luckily the weather was nice and didn’t get hot until we were packing to come back home. I took the girls a playpen to sleep in while in the camper, because well, they like to eat off the counters. A couple pictures of them in the playpen was what I saw when I woke up. Two beautiful Golden heads sticking up over the side lol. We all had a great time and I even took a nap with my ladies under the beautiful canopy of the woods. I laid there so long apparently my husband took pictures of us. **Apparently in Indiana the State Parks have this new rule, the DNR was so “thoughtful” to “inform” us that dogs cannot be in “structures“ (because they do not allow structures) like their dog play yard fencing, they MUST BE on a leash or teather at all times. Which is why I had to put my girls on leashes tied to the trees. Let’s just say this did not sit well with me and I had an attitude all weekend. My dogs are a million times safer in a metal fencing area that tied to a tree with a leash around them! And a dog play yard fencing is not a “structure”! The 13x13 canopy with a ceiling and walls that we made was not considered a structure but their see through fencing with no roof was considered one?? Ugh.. There’s nothing worse than someone telling me I have to do something with my dogs that I know is not safe and I had no choice because big brother wants to tell you new rules when you’ve been camping about 12 times a year at the state parks and have NEVER had to tie your dogs with leashes. Walks, YES, always a leash, but never just hanging out at the camp site that I paid to rent.. Ok sorry rant over. I digress.. Apologies if you’re still reading. 😘🐾❤️

I had my allergy injections yesterday, nothing new, always get them. But for some reason an hour later my body decided to go into anaphylactic shock. I made it back to the allergist and they administered epinephrine, prednisone and a couple dissolvable tablets. She said since I had such a serious reaction for no apparent reason even tho I always predose, I’d have to take another dose of prednisone today which I did, and I’d feel like I got ran over by a truck for a few days up to a week. Which I do. Anyways, I’m just laying here on the couch recliner with Priscilla all day who is snuggled up nursing mommy. I hope everyone has someone in their life that loves them as much as a Golden loves their momma! 🐾❤️ (Gracie is still at the studs house and will be home Saturday) And here’s a few pictures of my gorgeous Priscilla Lilly when me and her stayed in a hotel after I picked her up from the studs in Illinois on Sunday night.

Priscilla will be breeding with this handsome dark red boy this week and should have their litter of beautiful reds and medium golden babies born first week or so of October and ready to go home in December, so mark your calendars!! Grace will also be breeding with him as soon as she’s ready, which should be anytime soon!
Here’s some more information about this upcoming litter. The stud we are using this time is a dark red AKC male named “Chevy”. He has several titles: dock diving title, truck dog title, CGCA and CGCU. Clear genetic health testings through Embark and is OFA Chic Certified which means he has his heart, eyes, hips and elbows. Both my girls as you know have multiple Champion lines from their dam’s and sire’s lines, they have the 253 Embark breeders genetic testings and 190 Animal Genetics testing. They are both clear of everything except carriers for ICH. Priscilla’s elbows are getting redone Monday so her 3 month long standing appointment is interfering with her play date lol, and Gracie has her OFA Chic and then some.

Priscilla is in heat so we will be having her bred with a dark red Champion from Illinois next week! Gracie will also be bred with him whenever she goes in heat, which should be anytime soon if she still follows her sisters lead. 😉🐾❤️

Grace and Priscilla’s Thyroid’s have finally posted! Check out how many OFA’s my girls now have! Besides the 190 genetic testings through PawPrints that we’ve had since they were babies, I also recently did the Embark breeder’s 256 genetic testings! The girls have a COI of only 14%! Both girls are carriers of ICH which I knew but clear of everything else! Priscilla still has a standing appointment on August 7th to have her elbows redone, but they have everything else definitely covered!! I’ve been in talks with a few other breeders looking for a different stud on their next heat cycle. They had their last heat cycle off so I will be breeding them again when they go in heat within the next month or two. 🐾

On Saturday, June 3rd, I drove 4 1/2 hours to Maumee, Ohio to take the girls to an OFA health clinic. Grace and Priscilla both had a heart echo and auscultation done, their eyes redone (since that’s yearly for OFA) and their thyroid. Thyroid will take a few weeks for the blood work to be ran and verified, but their heart and eyes posted today! Let’s just say beside the 190 original genetic testing I had for them, I’ve recently done more and now Grace has 19 OFA certifications and Priscilla has 18. Her elbows still need redone and that appointment is still booked out till August. I also wanted to just know more about their heritage and sent their samples off to Embark and waiting on those results, it says early July for blood testing results to be done. Just so ya know, Golden Retrievers for the breed standard only require 4 OFA tests to be completed per the breed requirements (heart, eyes, hips and elbows) and my girls have many many more! Since I lost my Lilly suddenly at the young age of 4, I’ve went overboard maki g sure these 2 girls will be by my side for many more years, and produce outstanding babies for other families to grow old with!! I’m so proud of my 2 heathy beautiful Golden Girls! 🐾❤️

I saw this on another page and it’s a good reminder for everyone incase it’s something you might not think about. I hate to say it because it should be common sense but DON’T leave your dogs in a car. Even if you crack a window, the interior temperature increases so high in such a short amount of time that it’s not even worth chancing! If your pet needs to be left in a car because they cannot go in a certain store with you, leave them at home where they are safe and cool. If you’re out walking your fur baby, walk on the side of the sidewalk or road and them walk in the grass so their paws do not get burned. Like this picture says, if it’s too hot for your feet, it’s too hot for their feet!

Four years ago today, I had to make the difficult decision to have my Lilly put to rest. She was only 4 years old and had full kidney failure and infections from that. After being hospitalized for a week, several vets and every test available and then some, no one could find the cause and there was no treatment available. I even had a necropsy performed and the results sent to 3 different specialists and they all came back saying full kidney failure and no cause found. She left our world way too soon but I know she walks beside all of her 7 Golden Angels. At least there’s still a part of her in this world. 🐾❤️

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! From our family to yours! We’re enjoying a family camping trip for this holiday. Even black boy and yellow girl got to come with us. We met a beautiful family earlier who surprised their two girls with two brand new puppies!! That was such a beautiful moment to be a part of! Now I’m just relaxing and having a quiet evening. The other 3 pups were sleeping but Grace’s light blue boy was awake and barked a few times so now I’m holding him and he’s so calm and happy now lol.

Through no fault of his own, Grace’s black boy was returned back to us. The family is now expecting another little baby so they decided it’s not the right time for a puppy. Me and our little boy drove up and met them and got this cutie. On our way home we stopped for nuggets (my boy’s favorite) and this handsome devil got a pup cup! So we have 3 females and 3 males available!

Grace is clear 190 genetic testings including PRCD-PRA 1 & 2, DM, NCL, MH but is a carrier of ICH as stated above, which is why the stud we used I made sure had genetic testing that was ICH clear! Since mom is a carrier some puppies may also be carriers, some will not, genetics are random on that, but NO puppy will be affected meaning they will not have it, only some might possibly carriers.

The puppies were born in our home and will raised inside our home and play out on our covered porch, with our male German Shepherd, the girls think of as their younger brother, and 2 human children. We start early socialization so the puppies will be exposed to many different animals including other dogs, 2 cats, chickens, rabbits and other farm animals, children and strangers at an early age. Many of our previous litters have went to be excellent service animals and therapy dogs.
