Tomorrow (Sat, 8/17) this is the canine crew that we will be hosting at PetSmart Lee's Summit (920 NE Sam Walton Lane) from Noon to 3 pm. An all female line up tomorrow featuring puppies that are 15 weeks old and then Wanda rounds out the group as the only adult. We hope that you will come by to meet them and hopefully open your heart and home to one of them. Who can say no to those adorables faces?

Shelby is a spunky pup who'd happily curl up on your lap for a snooze after playing her heart out. Her favorite activity (aside from eating) is roughhousing with her brother. Shelby is good around another dog, almost completely potty trained, understands basic commands, and enjoys playing with kids and meeting new people. She will go to her kennel when told (treat trained) and will sit before being let out. This sweet, soft girl loves to be petted and scratched. She's a funny puppy who likes laying on floor vents. Warning: If you meet her, she will shower you with kisses and make you fall in love with her!

Who Is that handsome dog I see? Bandit is 2 years old and is an affectionate handsome boy. He has done well at adoption events and enjoys meeting people. He weighs 60 pounds. He responds to calls and is house-trained, provided he's taken out regularly. He's sociable with both men and women and gets along with other dogs. Bandit is expressive when excited but stays quiet in his space. Bandit has a charming smile and is neutered, microchipped, heartworm-negative, and current on all vaccinations.

Hi there! I’m Spunky, but my foster family has nicknamed me Cow Cat because of my cute black-and-white patches-they say I look like a tiny cow, but trust me, I’ve got way more personality! I might be a little bashful when we first meet, but once I’ve sized you up, my playful side comes out in full force. Whether it’s chasing after crazy red dots or pouncing on a crinkly toy, I’m always up for an adventure.

This is Dally, a 5-month-old Shepherd/Lab mix, weighing 15 pounds. Dally is a gentle puppy, who loves attention and is learning routines quickly. She enjoys being with other dogs and is well on her way to being housetrained with no accidents in the house. She loves to chew toys but is not an aggressive chewer and does not bark excessively. And just look at those ears? Who wants to add a loving, fun puppy to their family?
Molly was abandoned by her owner when he was evicted, in a wire pen out back with her brother Mo with no water or food on a hot July day. She gets to spend the rest of her life being adored by a couple who are spoiling her! Thank you for fostering Deb Ball
Special thank you to Joi Tydings for sponsoring Mac’s much-needed spa day. And thank you also to Lexie Dawn Reedfor getting him in right away and being so good with him. Mac is an almost 12-year-old dog who acts more like a puppy! It only takes him moments to get out of any door that’s been left open! Mac’s dad had stage four cancer and asked for our help. Mac loves his foster’s small children and likes to play with her dogs. He is looking for a soft place to land, preferably with someone who is home during the day and who will spend some time playing with him. He also loves nap time! He is potty trained and kennel trained but was sleeping with his former owner. Mac is a delightful little nugget who is taking applications for his retirement home!
Autumn, whose owner was no longer able to care for her, found her new forever home with a family of people to love her. We are so happy for her! Thank you Lauren Karley Plaggee for all you did for Autumn.

Gracie was adopted by a lovely woman who only adopts senior rescue dogs. One of her dogs recently crossed over the rainbow bridge and she saw Gracie‘s picture and knew Gracie needed to be part of her family. Gracie also gained two canine siblings! Thank you Shirley Mata for fostering Gracie!
This handsome dog is Tanner who is a two-year-old black cur mix. Tanner loves to play with dogs at his daycare but can not be around cats. He needs a home with older kids and adults who can help him feel safe and secure. He is potty trained and keeps his kennel clean at night. He loves cuddles and will make a great movie-watching partner. Tanner is loyal and sweet. He is also an energetic young dog who will do best In a fenced-in yard with another dog or at dog daycare during the day, or with an active family. Tanner’s unique combination of playfulness, loyalty, and sweetness, will make him a wonderful addition to a family. He is the perfect companion for both active days and cozy upcoming fall nights. Happy Saturday! Mama Dollie’s puppies were one week old yesterday! They are fat healthy nuggets who are doing great! Dollie is taking really good care of them!
On National Ice Cream Day, Aurora’s puppies got a special treat! Their foster mom Traci Christian wanted to make sure they didn't get a tummy ache so she whipped puppy formula, chilled it, whipped it again, and then put it in muffin times to chill overnight. It turned out like shaped soft serve ice cream. All the puppies and their mom had a creative fun treat!
Two beautiful well-cared for Great Pryeness who are 2 1/2 years old. One has been professionally trained and one has not. They are located in Shawnee Kansas, but they will be neutered before they can come to foster. They are inside and outside dogs. They are potty trained. They can be separated. They are being rehomed because they were given to the owner by her grandkids and she is severely allergic to them and they are so big that have pulled her down on occasion. We are seeking foster or foster to adopt home! Aren’t they beautiful?

Today at our adoption event at Petsmart in Olathe, you can meet Jill. Some people don't consider her because of her size but she is so gentle that a 4-year-old can walk her. Jill and our foster’s grandson made a connection right away. She would be an excellent companion for people who have grandchildren.
Yesterday while on Outreach, Andrea Knobbe and Kate Zeh met the most adorable perfect dog was found by some wonderful people who have agreed to take care of her until we can find a foster and they even took her for vaccinations. Who would like to foster or foster to adopt Mittens? I will let them tell you all about her!

We are so proud of Chip and everything he is learning from his foster mom Sara Clapsaddle-Andersen. Chip is a 10 month old Lab mix. He is very smart and a quick learner. He likes to play with other dogs. He is all about the treats! He has high puppy energy, but does great if he is allowed to run around the yard or play with other dogs to get some daily zoomies conquered!
Taz is one of our newest family members. He is 16 months old and his mom is a Schnauzer and his dad is unknown. He weighs approximately 20 lbs. He loves playing with his foster’s dogs. He is crate and potty-trained. Taz is very affectionate and loving and wants to be right by his people. He has a lot of puppy energy and would benefit from another dog as a playmate and a big backyard.
