Our Story
Gwen Davidson, owner of Canine Construction Professional Dog Training has enjoyed very special relationship with dogs since infancy. Raised the daughter of an outdoorsman in Northern Idaho, she is no stranger to the unique relationship between people and dogs. remaining forever grateful for the companionship, hunting, and protection services they provided her and her family over many years. Her father raised, rescued and trained countless dogs in his lifetime, and his passion has been passed down to his children and grandchildren. As a result of her upbringing and ongoing passion for dogs, Gwen is very familiar with several breeds and their differing temperaments and energy levels, appreciating the special qualities of each.
The goal of Canine Construction Company Professional Dog Training is to see our communities full of happy, well-behaved dogs and owners who are proud, peaceful and confident. Our mission, therefore, is to provide behavior modification and obedience training programs directed toward instructing dog owners to observe the world from their dog’s point of view and shape their canine family member from this perspective. In this way we improve communication, understanding and bond between dogs and their owners.
Dedicated to training dogs and educating people, we focus on the development of practical and dependable exercises for the whole family instilling in them avenues to train their own dogs and enjoy them for a lifetime. We create a customized training program intended to meet the unique needs of every individual.
Our well-rounded, hands-on approach is intended not only to train the dog to understand a command, teach the handler how to support the dog’s learning, but also to provide management skills to handle a canine family member at all times, in every situation and under any distraction.
