A couple months ago we got Crow from a north valley shelter. He’s been a slight challenge as he doesn’t keep weight on even with looking for tasty foods to stimulate him to eat. Yesterday he woukd not eat at all and drank a lot of water. Today we were at the vet first thing.
Lab work was done and should be back tomorrow.
Ver is concerned he has kidney and /or liver issues. We also know he has a heart murmur.
Fingers crossed and prayers said. Even with meds he still isn’t eating today. 💔

Be careful when donating to us via PayPal and Venmo. Get the link right from our page.
One of our lovely family members has donated to the fictitious account several times thinking we got it but it went in to another account believe to fraudulent. Can’t find this organization and they kept the money even when asked to return at least the most recent deposit. Venmo offered no help eirher.

When you're trying to stop the unwanted litters, please do not overlook the males. Neuters are a fraction of the cost of spays & the recovery is much faster. One unneutered male can father 2500 kittens a year. You may not be having to deal with the kittens, but your neighbors within a 5-mile radius will. Be part of the solution! 💜

Please help your local rescue, your local TNR group during the cold holiday season. They work tirelessly to help community cats stay safe in cold weather. Donate food, funds, gas cards to help them provide for the community cats!

Stu is a spunky little guy.
Camer from an LA area shelter.
Last call and we agreed to take him when another dog we ragged found found rescue.
Stu may be about 2 years old and maybe a chi /pug mix.
He arrived with some ugly wounds that have long since healed.

We encourage people NOT to give dogs as gifts.
Families should be making decisions to get pets on there their own if they want one.
Minka was a Christmas pup last year.
A grandpa bought her for a grandchild without asking the mom. She ended up with us as mom said no.
Minka is probably a rat terrier mix. Small and about a year old. Somewhat shy but sweet.

A day in the life:
Born feral and now fixed and back out with his family I have named this boy Scamp.
He’s one of my favorites here at home.
Should have called him “late for dinner”.
He alway comes after everyone has eaten their canned food expecting his.
So hours later if I try to sneak and open him a can there is a flood of previous feline eaters that hears me open his can. And this regal cat sits and lets them eat it so the cat food bill is way more than it should be because a good mom or hostess accommodates the guests. 🤦‍♀️ - Sandy

He also waits for me at the end of the driveway at night across the street.
I worry he’ll get hit by a car so I watch traffic and sometimes pull over until the coast is clear when he crosses.

Getting ready to take some heat but I don’t care!
This was a post on a local lost and found page that this dog was sitting near heavily traffic by a canal bank with its toys And bed.
Nearly 1000 Comments on that post and I’m not weeding through them but I got the jist that it is safe now and back with original
Owners that gave her away and she ended up unwanted.
I was at work nearby and hated to leave but went
To look and so did a volunteer but she was picked
Up and safe before We Got there.
Irregardless.
The reason for this post is twofold! One dogs are forever and family and that why we screen with an application and questions. To make sure our adoptees are Committed and ready. It might

Marigold! Always Happy!

Marigold! Marigold came from an LA shelter where she was an unclaimed stray in a doggie wheelchair. She was placed on the euth list. We Embraced her when asked if we could save her! A trip to our vet for X-rays showed a broken. Back and they recommended euthanasia as well. We conferred with another vet who said we would know if she were in pain and unhappy. Marigold loves life and playing and toys and treats and food.❤️She decided what was Best!

Tookie gets around quite well without her front limbs and she is very independent. She often prefers not to have help so her foster mom Allows her the freedom of managing herself.

Tookie doesn’t know she’s without front legs and she doesn’t fool her foster mom by choosing to tear up the shoes over her toys. She associates shoes with foster mom pitting them on and leaving her. 😉
