Marigold! Always Happy!
Marigold!
Marigold came from an LA shelter where she was an unclaimed stray in a doggie wheelchair. She was placed on the euth list. We Embraced her when asked if we could save her!
A trip to our vet for X-rays showed a broken. Back and they recommended euthanasia as well. We conferred with another vet who said we would know if she were in pain and unhappy. Marigold loves life and playing and toys and treats and food.❤️She decided what was

Hello from Dusky. . He’s a Pom mix about a year old. Applications to make him yours are available by emailing [email protected] 💕
Tookie gets around quite well without her front limbs and she is very independent. She often prefers not to have help so her foster mom Allows her the freedom of managing herself.
Tookie doesn’t know she’s without front legs and she doesn’t fool her foster mom by choosing to tear up the shoes over her toys. She associates shoes with foster mom pitting them on and leaving her. 😉

Tooky just for finished doing zombies around her foster home and foster mom grabbed camera too late to catch that but she’s still playing and chose foster moms shoe over her toy.
It’s spring in the foot hills 💖
This is a video from last September.
It was the day we received Daphne who was delivered Right to our groomer, Sheena Zarcone, to be cleaned up after she was taken from a north valley shelter to keep her from euthanasia. Her condition was deploreble. Sheena couldn’t
Even see her eyes as they were glued shut with goo.
Daphne is naturally still her. She is definaey blind and probably deaf.
Today Sheena has agreed to try to Groom Daphne again though it’s not an easy task.
Daphne is a bit of a challenge. She gets drops or ointment in her eyes to keep them from building up Goo. Not knowing what time it is she barks at all hours and wakes up the whole house some late
Nights or early mornings. Lately Daphne has not had an appetite. She is offered a variety of foods
And may eat them once and not a second time.
A few days ago she ate roasted chicken,
Yesterday she refused everything and she even curled up on top of the food in the bowl when it was left to her with her to try it. This am, Hallelujah, she ate Vienna sausages!
Hoping her grooming will make Her feel better and make her look forward once again To her meals. 🙏. 🤞
As some of you may have already figured out, I have a hard time turning down the seniors, special needs and compromised critters. Even though we are busting at the seams with unwanted dogs When someone reached out to me to take in Turnky (who we will be calling Tooky) afterTheir efforts to get help were failing, it Didn’t take much persuasion for me to step up. What an adorable soul even with her deformity of being born with no front legs. Tooky gets along well as that’s all she’s ever known. Once vetted she’ll be available for her happily forever after. Stay tuned💖 - Sandy
