When the grooming is complete, my favorite part is putting your dog back in their snuggly bed or watching them strut down the hallway to show you they’re feeling good!

I worked at a salon for years and as comfortable as we tried to make the pets, some couldn’t relax being in a kennel or around other dogs. There are lots of new smells, people, and loud noises that can overwhelm their senses.

Dogs can be very anxious during the grooming process and I truly believe keeping a consistent groomer and grooming them in their safe space makes a difference. Being one on one gives them the opportunity to build trust and a relationship with me resulting in a all around happier dog!

Hello my name is Cara! The owner and Groomer of Grooming Gilda! Im a small traveling business located in the town of Moseley and chesterfield where I was born and raised ♥️ I’ve been grooming for 3 years, but have been working with dogs for 10. I take great pride in the care that every dog receives when they are in my hands. Im here for their comfort and best interest only♥️
I also wanted to take a moment and bring light to the motivation behind this business.
🌷Gilda was my dog of 17 years!!! She was a Jack Russell mix and my absolute best friend! She showed me the harmless, humorous, and most loving qualities that dogs have. She inspired me to advocate for their health and happiness. I began volunteering for Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond where I did transport and coordinated adoption pages. This journey is where I found the art of grooming! I’m so happy I have a skill where I can give back to what’s really important to me.
