We love you, too, Wisty! ❤ BDRA Alumni Wisty was adopted in October 2021, and we're so glad she checked in to let us know how she's feeling!
BDRA Alumni Vander says you're never too old to rock. ❤
You may remember BDRA Alumni Oscar. Shortly after arriving to us in September 2022, he had emergency surgery to remove a portion of his lower jaw due to a malignant mass. He was adopted in December 2022, and he's doing really well! Look at him go!
Who's such a good boy? It's Marshall! ❤️
Marshall is a blind 8 - 9 year old Lab/Pitbull mix who came to us from a North Carolina shelter, and he's patiently waiting for his forever family to find him. He hopes they find him soon!
Marshall is being fostered in NC; however BDRA will transport to an approved adopter within a reasonable distance.

Addie's adoption update!
Addie was adopted in February 2020 and as you may remember, she delivered a litter of puppies towards the end of 2019, very soon after arriving at her foster home. Her family said she's doing great! ❤️ They recently moved to another state and she handled it with ease. They also shared this update, video and pictures (please check comments for pictures): "Addie is still fearless. Can’t stop a blind dog. She mapped the new house in about 3 minutes. Lol. She especially loves the soft grass in the backyard where she will lounge after a few rousing games of fetch.
Got interesting news about Addie’s age after having her tested with the new Embark age test. Results say she is about 12 1/2 years old now. Would never guess it from seeing her play, though she does nap like a champ.
Here are a couple photos and a video of Addie. A photo of her on ours and her first boat. A photo of her hanging out in one of her dog beds. A video of how she loves to fly out of the house to chase a ball in the yard. She’s always in such a hurry the ball is usually thrown from inside the house. Not bad for a 12 year old blind dog.
Thank you BDRA, again, for the joy of Addie in our family for the last three years. Grateful for her every single day. "
Thank you to our forever foster Secret Santas! Each of our forever fosters feels very special again this year by your kind generosity. ❤️ Jade had already had an extra special Christmas and wants to thank her Secret Santa for these toys that are just perfect for her! Please also check the comments for Jade's second video!
Meet new foster and escape artist Andy! Yes, Andy is blind! Andy is a very sweet 10 year old miniature poodle mix who loves to cuddle. He will be up for adoption shortly. Please stay tuned for updates!
You've Got A Friend In Me!
New BDRA foster Little Lamb wasn't interested in small toys, but this bigger one is a different story! 🙂 Little Lamb is an approximately five year old blind poodle who came to us from TX. His coat is continuing to fill in, and he has a follow up vet appointment in a few weeks. If all goes well, he should be ready for adoption after that. His foster mom says he's so easy going and sweet, he's a joy to foster!
Here's a sneak peak at our next fun fundraiser! :)
It's a sockathon! This fun sock fundraiser will run from November 14th to December 10th, just in time for holiday shopping!
There are men's, women's, and kids' socks to choose from, and we will receive 50% from each sock order.
Here is our special link: https://www.sockathon.com/pages/blinddogrescue
Not interested? That's ok! Sharing also helps us spread the word about our fundraiser.
Thank you, as always, for your support.
New BDRA foster Arlo is settling into his foster home and making new friends! He and his foster sibling Trigger love to be in the yard together.
Arlo is doing very well and loves to play. His foster mom says he knows no personal space, and if he wants to cuddle, he'll climb into your lap, lay down, and give kisses! Arlo will be ready for adoption shortly. Please keep a watch out for updates!
BDRA foster Jade loves to play! Doesn't she do a great job?! Jade is completely blind, approximately 3 1/2 years old, pit bull/lab mix who loves to sleep upstairs with her foster parents. With guidance, she walks well on a leash and meets people and other dogs calmly, however she can play rough at times. Her foster family says she doesn't realize her size and wants to be a lap dog! Please click here to learn more about Jade: https://www.blinddogrescue.org/dog/jade/ and and if you'd like to make Jade a part of your family, please complete an application here:
