Sunshine is 7yrs old and ready for her retirement home.

Already been spayed, and up to date on rabies and vaccines. She just had dental surgery in May, so her teeth are in good condition.

She is still energetic and playful, and would make the perfect hiking partner. She is confident and curious about life.

Sunshine does well for grooming and handling. She LOVES people and wants to be with them all the time. She would thrive as an indoor/outdoor dog, as she loves being outside.

She is not perfectly house trained, but if kept on a schedule, she will go outside for the bathrooms.

Sunshine is SMART and picks up on things extremely quickly. The saying “Can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” does not apply to her.

Sunshine knows come, sit, down, kennel, and load up.

Hello from the newlyweds! It’s Henry and Melissa Stoltzfus, owners of Playful Puppy Palace. And we are back from our honeymoon, enjoying settling into our new home in Indiana.

For now, things will continue mostly as they were before. We are retiring a few of our oldest females and will have two young females left in our program.

Right now it looks like we might have puppies beginning of 2025.

I will try to keep you guys updated as we get closer to that time.

Meanwhile, I’ll still post things in my stories or on the feed about the dogs.

It’s wedding week for me!

That means I’ll be non existent in answering messages or replying to comments and questions as we buckle down and get this wedding finalized.

PS. The dogs will be staying with my sister until after we get back from our honeymoon. They they will be traveling out to Indiana with my father.

Corkie:
Red and white 6yr old Cocker Spaniel female. Super sweet, gentle and laidback, Corkie has a wonderful personality.

Muffin:
Chocolate Tri color Merle 6yr old female cocker spaniel. Muffin is outgoing and playful, but she is incredibly people oriented. She’s very sensitive to people’s emotions as well.

Sunshine:
Red 7yrs old Cocker Spaniel female. Sunshine is outgoing and eager to please. She loves the outdoors and engages well with people.

All three girls have been spayed, clean dentals, up to date on rabies and vaccines, and have beautiful short puppy-cut haircuts.

All three girls have been with me since they were 8-10wks of age. While I would love to keep them all with me after retirement, it would not be fair to them. I cannot spoil them the way they deserve.

I know sometimes people assume that I am a backyard breeder. But I have poured thousands of 💲 into their retirement surgeries. No back yard breeder would do that. Backyard breeders would simply dump their adults at a shelter and leave.

However, a good breeder is nothing without a good community surrounding them. I need help to find these girls their homes!

Their rehoming fee is small and negotiable to approved homes.

O’Brien is the last chance to grab a cockapoo from us before early winter or Christmas!

He is 18wks old, and completely up to date on vaccines and dewormer. O’Brien is not clingy and instead is confident and curious. He does love cuddling after he’s gotten his zoomies out.

He loves to play and would do well with a fur sibling, or as an only fur child.

O’Brien is a sweetheart of a boy. He is not outgoing, but more on the mellow side. He loves to be with people and snuggle. But he can hold his own when it comes to playing with his siblings.

O’Brien is an opoen tricolor and his coat is quite striking.

Lady O’Connor is a gentle soul. She is laidback and a bit reserved. But she still loves people and snuggling with them. Lady O’Connor had a mistaken gender at birth and we thought she was a boy. Hence her name.

She is such a sweetheart, hunting her own couch to snooze on and her own person to cuddle up to.

O'Shea is outgoing, sassy, and super playful. Her personality is huge and she constantly makes a person laugh. She loves people and interacting with them.

Something amusing happened last week😅

I went to the vet and as we were checking puppies, the vet was getting a tad frustrated she couldn’t find O’Connor’s testicles to check if they were descended.

Upon closer inspection, we discovered that O’Conner is in fact a girl and has no testicles to descend! 🤣🤣

Poor girl! I decided to name her Lady O’Connor to keep confusion to a minimum.

At any rate, she is completely healthy and ready to go home right now!

O’Brien is a middle of the pack energy. Curious, confident, but still needing reassurance now and then. Besides, look at that gorgeous coat color. His coat is setting up to be wavy instead of tight curls, so grooming needs will be slightly less as well.

Playful Puppy Palace will be moving!

After our wedding in June, Playful Puppy Palace will be moving to Indiana. We will still have very strong ties back to the West Virginia area and be back to visit often, so discounted delivery options will be available!

Because of our move and marriage, I have decided to downsize my program. This will enable me to focus more clearly on every single puppy I raise, and the parent dogs that live with me.

I have evaluated my parent dogs very carefully and am offering a select few to retirement homes. In my opinion, the adult dogs that I am offering are confident and secure enough to transition well into new families and homes.

I am making this decision with my dogs’ best interest in mind. Finding them a family who can spoil them rotten and devote an immense amount of time to them is best for them.

I will be deleting negative comments, however I welcome honest and open questions.

This is... JADEN!

He is not bred by me, but Jaden is the ten month old son of my boy DJ's full sister Dixie and sired by my now retired stud Ashton. So he is a cousin to Chasin and half brother to Drake (now Copper). He's also a cousin to my little girl Adirah ( her sire Dutton is DJ's full brother)

He is not mine, but he is here for some training! I am planning to share quite a bit of his journey here, along with my training techniques and why I do what I do. So follow along!!

Hi! I’m Melissa Horst, the owner of Playful Puppy Palace.

Due to a reel I posted, our followers on instagram almost doubled! So welcome to all the new faces! Here’s an introduction for everyone who doesn’t know me.

I am a 23 year old young lady who has been bringing puppies into this world for 9 years. I started under my parents guidance, but last year I took over and am running it by myself now.

I am a breeder of F1 cockapoos. My heart behind breeding is to create healthy, well rounded fur family members for people all over the US. My parents are all DNA health tested, and most are AKC registered as well.

I care deeply about the well being of both the parent dogs and the puppies and do my best to ensure every puppy and adult dog that leaves my hand lands in an amazing home.

I believe that dogs should get the chance to be dogs and do dog things, so my dogs spend a lot of time outdoors.

I try to be open and honest about the struggles breeders face.

My goal is bring joy, companionship, and love into every home I send a puppy into.

I am friendly, personable, and love to answer questions.

I am getting married in June to my fiancé Henry, so things will be changing around here somewhat. While we don’t yet know what the changes all will look like, I’ll keep you posted as we finalize decisions.
