This Giving Tuesday I hope you'll support our ongoing volunteer efforts to keep transporting animals from overcrowded shelters to their new homes with rescue organizations, up and down the entire West Coast. Our Roadies & Rescues van needs another tune-up as well as other repairs and maintenance. Please share with anyone you think would appreciate what I'm doing on my days off from my career as an audio engineer.

FYI - The Roadies & Rescues program is operated under the IRS recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit Second Chance Pet Rescue.
In 2023 we helped relocate 244 dogs, 5 cats, and 1 goat! With continued support in 2024 we will help save even more shelter animals in danger of euthanasia! Thank you for following along!

Over the last 2.5 years, many people have asked how they can support Second Chance Pet Rescue's Roadies & Rescues transport program to get animals at risk of euthanasia out of overcrowded shelters. My answer frequently changed based on the immediate needs at any given period of our growth. But now I have a much more solid and consistent answer. We need consistently recurring monthly donations to help cover the roughly $600 a month that covers our two insurance policies (general liability + vehicle insurance) and the storage fees for the Chevy Express 3500 cutaway van and our inventory of crates, bedding, and cleaning supplies.
If we could get enough people able to donate just $5 or $10 each month, I could rest a little easier. And we'd have more flexibility for doing rescue trips more often. 🙏🤜🤛🐾

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY ♥️
You know what we would LOVE more than anything!?… We would love to find a foster or adopter for Coco. Coco has been in rescue two+ years. There is absolutely no reason for this. Coco is dog friendly, playful, and sweet.
Right now Coco is in a foster home with a lot of other dogs. Dogs that are far less likely to be adopted and the reality is that Coco deserves so much more attention. If you are reading this right now, and you have a space for a blockhead dog like Coco, please contact us.
Here’s some info on Coco:
❤️ four years old
❤️ some sort of bully mix
❤️ petite and muscular
❤️ playful and dog friendly
🛑 no cats
If desired, Coco comes with free training lessons.
PLEASE SHARE FOR COCO!! ♥️♥️🐾
♥️ DESI IS HEADED HOME!! ♥️♥️♥️
Remember this special guy from last week? Desi likely suffered a stroke. Our goal was to help cover Desi’s physical therapy AND for him to go back home to his family.
YOUR DONATIONS made this possible. Desi is actually RUNNING home tonight. Check out this video. 😭😭😭
A huge shout out to DR HOLLAND and the STAFF at the COTTONWOOD SMALL ANIMAL CLINIC. Thank you for giving Desi a second chance at an active life!!
Desi is doing great and as a community we made this happen. Who is crying? I’m not crying. Are you crying!?!? 😭😭😭
♥️♥️♥️
CHECK OUT DESI 😍😍😍😭😭
Desi is our fur friend who is believed to have had a stroke. After extensive veterinary care his family couldn’t handle the cost for physical therapy.
YOUR DONATIONS are the reason that Desi was able to stay at the vet for more care. Take a look at the video from Dr Holland!
