Twas the Day before tomorrow, finds a nice Como Whitetail buck under the Christmas tree.
Using the shifting winds, this old warrior outsmarted me for 2 weeks. I must admit, I got Buck fever!
Riding a thunderous North arctic wind, he arrived from above, unexpectedly suddenly, and in dramatic fashion, to bully 2 younger bucks which had me spotted partially hidden behind deadfall.
A split second later, with a twinkle in my Vortex, the smooth rearward pull of my trigger finger, and this bucks reign of terror is over...

Sundance “Zoey”, and Bones Fork “Dani Girl” get the job done as we edge closer to the end of another epic hunting expedition.

A limit of Sharpies with a single Hun will edge us toward writing another chapter of our ongoing Bones Fork story.

As a bonus, we’ll enjoy-as a kennel, another cool and crisp sunset, with a single cold local IPA, on this gorgeous evening in America’s upper Great Plains.

Bones Fork A Boy Named Sioux, Call name “Sioux”, owned by Darby Stoneham, watches intently as unchased ducks flaunt him.

Sioux is an up and coming intense dog that will have a second wild bird season, then begin Utility Training this spring. He will be a fun dog to watch develop!

Lana was officially retired last week(she had 2 litters for us here), and we formalized retirement with a spay- she is recovering nicely and enjoying couch privileges. As always, thank you to Dr Shumack at Village Center Veterinary Care. Cannot say enough great things about this clinic, Doctors, and staff; I highly recommend them as the premier location in the Springs for your animal care!🐾💖🐾
