SNORT - Short Noses Only Rescue Team SNORT is an all-volunteer rescue based in the Northeast.

Its purpose is to rescue brachycephalic dogs (mostly French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Pugs and English Bulldogs).

Prince is an eight-month-old puppy who absolutely loves life! He is playful, energetic, and incredibly cute. Prince gets along well with children (ages 9 and 11) and two French bulldog siblings, and he even likes cats. Due to his high energy levels, he would do best in a home with children aged five and over. Prince needs a home committed to providing him with plenty of exercise, whether through playtime, walks, or a fenced-in yard. He loves playing fetch, chewing on Benebones, and tug-of-war. Prince is super smart, already knows "sit," and is learning "off." He is house trained and crate trained. Despite having his left eye removed due to an ulcer, he hasn't missed a beat and only needs daily drops for his right eye. Prince would love a home where someone can stay with him all day, but he is also fine alone during the day. His happiness is contagious, so be sure to check out his bio and apply to adopt him!

Manny, newly arrived with SNORT - Short Noses Only Rescue Team, is in need of some serious care. This is the start for him of a long road of TLC and medical treatments to get him comfortable and ready for his forever home.

Woof! Hi, I’m Decker, and I’ve got a lot to bark about! 🐾

I’m super excited about everything – walks, playtime, my humans, other small dogs, and attention! My foster family says I’m smart and easy to train. I’ve got tons of energy, so I need regular walks and playtime. A fenced yard isn't required but would be awesome for my zoomies!

I love balls, chew toys, and car rides. I know “come,” “sit,” and “leave it,” and I don’t need to be crated during the day. But I do need a dog-proofed space because I can get into things. I don’t like being crated or left alone all day – I’m a people dog!

I’m healthy with no chronic issues. I get along with small dogs but haven’t met cats yet. I’d do best with kids five and older because of my energy.

The Grumble has left the Building!!! We can't believe we found the perfect home for not one, not two but all three of our pug-trio!! We think this is SNORT's first ever "grumble adoption" (who knows but it sounds good, right?!) Saying good-bye to this fab trio was hard but knowing they went to a great home, who braved the snow to come get them and that they get to stay together is a great feeling!! Little Samson crossed the bridge on his own accord today. He had a heart tumor, which was being monitored but we were unsure of how much time he had. He had a lovely evening, woke up for a potty early in the morning, and some time during his morning nap, he passed very peacefully. He was loved by his foster home until the very end and touched those who knew him, even if it wasn’t for very long. 🌈

Hi there! I’m Daisy! I hear they’re pretty irresistible but let me tell you about myself. I’m 2 years old and a French Bulldog with a bit of a story to tell. My first home didn’t know how to handle me when I started having bathroom troubles. It turned out something was really wrong, and let’s just say the humans weren’t very patient. Lucky for me, the vet stepped in, and I found my way to rescue, where I’ve been getting all the love and care I need.

It turns out I have something called Histiocytic Ulcerative Colitis (HUC). Sounds fancy, right? Basically, it means my tummy is pretty high maintenance. My foster parents tried all sorts of foods and meds to help me, and eventually, a raw diet became my magic recipe—plus some veggies on the side! Things aren’t always perfect, but I’ve gone from 17 liquid bathroom breaks a day (yikes!) to about 4, and most of those are solid! I’m feeling the best I ever have thanks to my team of amazing vets (regular and holistic) and some super-special care.

Here’s the deal: I’m a long, lean Frenchie—practically all muscle, no fat. I love my food (seriously, meal times are my favorite!), but gaining weight is a little tricky for me. Still, I’m maintaining like a champ!

What do I love? PEOPLE. All of them. I’ve never met a stranger, just new friends. I adore other dogs and even live with cats—I clean their faces because, well, they demand it, and I aim to please. At night, I snuggle in bed with my foster parents, which is non-negotiable in my future home. I’ll cuddle, hold your hand with my paws, burrow under the covers, and paw at you if I need more attention.

I’m crate-trained (super good at it!) for when my foster parents go out or need me to chill. I need a calm but fun home—ideally with someone who works from home or can come back mid-day for some love and care.

Now, I need a special kind of human: someone who understands HUC, knows how to keep me on my specific raw diet and supplements, and can continue my acupuncture and laser treatments. I’m pretty low-key about it all, but this stuff is essential for me to stay healthy.

Oh, and while I’m sweet with kids, I can’t risk eating crumbs or sneaky snacks—it’s bad for my health. So, a home without little ones is a must.

I promise you, I’m worth every bit of effort. If you’re experienced with HUC and are ready for a lifetime of love, cuddles, and car rides (I LOVE car rides!), let’s make this official. One of our fabulous SNORT Supporters is offering a very special keepsake for our pups that have left us. A Pet Cremation Memorial Memento. . These pieces are made with resin, mica powder and your beloved passed fur-baby’s ashes. She is donating her work but asks that a $50 donation be made to SNORT for each momento.

Each piece is custom to you and your beloved heavenly pet. You will be able to pick the color behind the ash paw print and font on the ash dog bone. There are 10 different font types to choose from and 100% of the proceeds will go to the care of our dogs.

Participants will need to ship approximately 4 tablespoons of ashes to Emma. The ash that is not used will be sent back with your piece.

Help! Bella Beanie was struggling to breathe, and like many French Bulldogs was diagnosed with BOAS, requiring surgery. Prior to surgery, her breathing worsened, so chest X-rays were done. This sweet little girl had a huge diaphragmatic hernia requiring emergency surgery at a specialty hospital! Without this surgery, her organs will start slowly dying leading to her slow painful demise. The ER is able to take her and do the surgery right away, but… the estimate is $9000! Short-nosed Only Rescue Team

SNORT's mission is to rescue brachycephalic dogs (mostly French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Pugs and English Bulldogs, including mixes) from shelters and owners who can no longer keep them, and place them into loving homes. We believe all dogs should be given a chance and fair evaluation. Man's best friend sometimes does not communicate in ways which we would like, and we pride ourselves for taking the time to understand their needs. Through education, training and matching dogs to the right homes, we hope to reduce the number of brachycephalic dogs that are euthanized unnecessarily.
