Sharing some ham with little old Faith on her check in. Look at her little tail wag 🥹🐾
This is too wholesome not to share (I've had permission off his parents) each time I walk Kobe I get the pleasure of seeing my little mate Joules. Some days if I have a bit extra time we sit and play cars and tells me about daddy's van. When I leave this is what I get he even tries to stretch round the corner to see me go waves me off the whole way. What a precious little boy 💙
I really do have the best customers 🥰
Kobe learning a heel walk. This is a little different from loose lead. He is more by your side. I like to start off from a sit by my side. Just look at his focus. 🐾
Kobe on a little loose lead walk. I love working with Kobe 🐾❤️
Kobe has started some recall training, simple game of throw the treat. Give a command, he comes back and offers a sit - sometimes 😂 this is new to him and he's doing really great.
Everyone trains different, everyone has different ideas, what is important is that you find what the dog responds to and go with that. Kobe is a foodie and just wants to be out and about learning.
(I am not a qualified trainer - yet. Watch this space 🐾)
Kobe smashing the sit and wait.....not perfect but this all helps with recall. Can't wait to progress further with him. 🐾
Today Thorn made me so proud. I've been working on loose lead with Thorn for a while now and he just was not responding....why? I don't know the answer to that. Maybe young and a little stubborn. However today we made a break through look at the big handsome boy. I'm so proud 💙🐾 it really helps when the pawrents continue the training on their walks too. They are smashing owning a great Dane 🐾
How's Kobe's training going?
He's smashing the heel work. We are working on him being at my side now on walks he makes improvement every day.
Here's a little snip 🐾😊💙
Running into Friday like..........
Wow 😊 I can not believe the progress we have made with Kobe. We were asked to work on his lead behaviour - typical adolescent lab.
We started with him on his harness right back at the beginning working on qué words for him to engage with us. Since then we found his harness was causing excess pulling.
We then fitted him to the dogmatic - he previously had tried a halti but hated it. As with any face furniture the dogs need de sensitising to it. This wasn't just put it on an walk.
Now coupled with his qué words and the dogmatic as you can see I'm now walking Kobe on a finger. He still has a way to go and I'm excited to train him off the dogmatic - only using as a training tool.
****Again I'm not a trainer nor claim to be so. Just little bits I've picked up over the years****
You will all know little Coco by now. He's getting to that adolescent stage now and all he wants to do is say hi to everyone and every thing while out on walks as he is so social.
However.....we decided to strip his walks back this week to solo and concentrate on a little bit of training. This is day 2 and he has already picked up the vocal qué and is responding well (the squeezy cheese may have helped) I am so proud of the little bean 🐾
Oh Thorn you are such a clever boy 🥰 We have home stayed with Thorn for a week and it's been wonderful. These little snips are of teaching him 'touch' and 'stay' can we appreciate his not so little hoppity hop.
This was his first session trying this and wow he picked it up so quickly. I have removed the sound of my squeaky voice 😬
When I say we don't just walk or home stay we keep your pets interested and get their minds working 🐾
**Disclaimer - I do not claim to be a trainer or advertise I do. I've just picked up some little bits on my journey into the animal world. Training is such an individual topic and not everyone agrees on the same techniques. **
