Urgent! This puppy needs our help. She is approximately 6 months old and 15 lbs.

A shelter we work with contacted us last night about a little female dog that came in limping on her back leg and has some sort of jaw issue. The veterinarian they use is unable to do anything for her. He believes her leg can be repaired but isn’t comfortable doing the surgery and believes in order for her mouth to be fixed, she would need a specialist, which is not something the county would pay for. (This is normal for most counties.)

Can you help us help her? Please donate and share. She will also need a foster come time. Please donate or apply below. This is a large expense for our small group. But she needs a chance.

All it takes is one click of a button for you to share and her future adopter sees her.

What’s a girl got to do? NOT ONE APPLICATION. Please share, you may help find the family she is waiting for.

Duchess is still looking for a forever home who will love her for her silly faces and pitty noises (pitty owners know what I mean!). She is probably a no for cats at this time, but would love a playful dog or a fenced yard so she can get her playful energy out. Duchess has done well meeting dogs of all sizes and lived with a small older dog for a year. She gives very clear play signals and seems very respectful of other dogs. She is such a lover and wants your attention when she isn’t playing. She has lived with small children and as long as she gets plenty of exercise and play time, can still do so. Her only vice is she loves to jump, but she is young and willing to please.
If you can foster Duchess or even be her forever home contact us today!

Walley is the sweetest fella!! With his exotic features, super loving nature, and goofy playfulness, this handsome man would be a great addition to any home. Every day he begs his foster for more attention and don’t let his slender figure fool you, this boy is all muscle. He will be neutered in the next week or two and will be ready for his new home. His eyes are still recovering from the hoarding situation he was rescued from, but they look better every day, so don’t let that stop you from seeing the beauty within.

Walley is just one of several cats we have available for adoption, but he is definitely the sweetest. Be sure to check out our adoptable pets and do an application so we can start looking for the best new addition for your family!

Stewie is a typical chihuahua in that he wants you to do nothing to him for the first two days. And we mean absolutely nothing, do not even look his way... He has pearly whites and is not afraid to use them. Just let him settle in on his terms and get used to his new environment and new people. It's a big scary world for a little fella. BUT then something magical happens after that you can't do anything without him for the rest of your life. He is like velcro. Like the glue of your life. Your one true companion. Once you are the light of his life, he can't hold his licker....he loves to give kisses and snuggle. Stewie loves food and he will even dance for it. It is the next best thing next to you. We would prefer he have a home with no kids because again of the little rascally chihuahua thing. But if you have older kids he will probably be ok with that if they follow his rules. And it never hurts to put him in his own room or crate if company is coming.

Stewie loves other dogs and loves to play, but has no problem telling them who is in charge as needed. It goes back to that little fella in charge thing. He likes to chase kitties so probably a no kitty zone. Stewie does tend to mark a bit and will wear a wrap but isn't a huge fan. In his current foster home he is slowly but surely showing he is housetrained in order to get out of wearing it.

Can you love Stewie forever?

When you lose your pet time is of the essence. Letting your pet roam could cost them their lives. They can be hit by a car, picked up and never seen again, or taken to a crowded. And accidents can always happen. Make sure your pet is microchipped, has a collar, and tag. If your pet enters a shelter or is reported by a finder in the state of Virginia, the stray hold time is five 24-hour days without a collar or chip. With it is ten 24-hour days. Keeping your pet safely at home saves their live and a pet's life that is in a crowded shelter.
