Queen is still looking for her forever home! 4 years old and full of energy, Queen is a joy for any home. She does jump a lot so either no small children or be prepared to work with her and keep the children safe until she understands. The current children that interact with her wait for her to calm down before entering her area and interacting with her, so she is great with children once she calms and isn’t at risk of knocking them over. Good with other dogs but unknown about cats. She is a beautiful, friendly German Shepherd. Kept outside her whole life, so being an inside dog will be an adjustment, but one that she is more than willing to make!

Arlo has found himself in need of a new home at only 5months old. He has been with us 2 months now looking for a new home and while he has had some interest, something always comes in the way of him meeting his new adopters! Not everyone is prepared for the pyrenees size and at 50lbs already, Arlo is certainly going to be a big fellow. He is looking for a home that is prepared for a large dog and will love him unconditionally. His foster says he has been great with her dogs and kids, he has been a little shy and unsure, but has already started opening up in her home, even seeming to prefer the little ones the most. He needs someone to help build his confidence and help him believe in forever again! Can you be his forever?

Streaming services ain’t cheap…. So why not foster instead?
Foster homes are needed right now!!!!!
We provide everything you need and will be there with you every step of the way. We recommend having a secure safe space for your fosters to decompress, adjust, or remain during the foster period. Most fosters will be newly vaccinated, disoriented, and overwhelmed, so giving them their own space helps them relax and adjust while they build up their immune system. Most animals aren't considered well vaccinated until 2 weeks after their second set of vaccines (so typically a month) which is why we require any personal pets to be fully vaccinated.
Fostering can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months, but you will have our contact information if you have any questions, concerns, or updates. We ask that fosters have reliable transportation since most fosters will have at least 2 appointments during this time: booster vaccines and a spay/neuter date. We are happy to assist in getting them to these appointments, but they are vitally important, so fosters must be prepared to work with us.
If you would be interested in becoming a foster or have any further questions, please fill out a Foster Application (under forms) or email us at [email protected]

Foster or adopter or transfer needed! This fella is 4 years old, lived with other dogs and loves people. He is not doing well in the shelter and misses being in a home.
We need to expand our reach! We adopt out of the area. Adopters and Fosters are not limited to location. Many fosters may need follow up vetting but we can provide transportation for those appointments. Please consider helping!
We have very few fosters and adopters with not a single application in several weeks despite pleas for both. We need you more than ever!
Most fosters will be 2 weeks to 2 months maximum. They just need a soft place to land while we find them something more permanent. We are happy to answer any and all questions.
Fosters are provided food and veterinary care as needed. You just need to provide a safe and loving environment.

If you don’t help, who will? If you continue to turn away, they will continue to suffer. Spay and neuter.
Streaming services are expensive! So instead choose to foster! Sometimes we just need a short term foster for pets waiting to go on transport. Get started today at https://spcaofpittsco.rescuegroups.org/
Little kittens that spit can be scary! And sometimes you get them out of the trap and that spitting turns to purring and we love it!
We area working so hard with our Trap Neuter Return programs. This is the humane solution to over population. The adoptable kitties will find families. The unsocial ones will go back to their home with their caretaker.
Last year we did 320 TNRs. Can you help sponsor a spay or neuter? Did you know 80% of kittens born in the wild will not survive? Help us help them.

Let Reba sing you the song of the fur babies! She’s discovered that playing with other dogs is SO much fun, has found out what the zoomies are, and has found her lovely hound voice. Will you be the one to sing with her? Reba really enjoys children and other doggie companions. She’d love to meet you! --
Let’s get this girl adopted. She’s so much fun. Reba loves to have play time with her humans, but she is also great at independent play with her stuffies or a kong. She has an easy going personality and would make a great addition to your family. Come meet Reba and prepare to fall in love! If interested in meeting her, please call or text Tonja at 434-548-2615
