With these last pups, that's a wrap for 2024! I am offically on maternity leave!! I'll be back in January of 2025 and will be accepting new clients then!

I can't wait to start this new year off with so many changes in life! A Bark On the Bend is also getting revamped come next year; policy, prices, and liability wise to keep myself and all clients safe.
More information to come in the future!

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me from the beginning, and has stuck by me since! It means the world to me and my (growing) family 🩵 i couldn't do any of this without the support and dedication of all my clients and their pups! I'm gonna miss yall so much but ill see ya in January! (This is also the longest break I've taken off work since i was 16!) I'm also excited for everyone to meet Baby Boy 🩵 😂🩵

I'm gonna miss all these beautiful pups while I'm gone on maternity leave, but we'll come back next year revamped and ready to beautify more scruffy K9s into show dogs!

My maternity leave starts on Oct. 14, as of right now I am NO LONGER accepting new clients until Jan of 2025 (I simply don't have any open appts between now and Oct 14th or i totally would! 😅)

Thank you to all of my clients that have been beyond understanding and just as excited as I am for our new arrival! Just 6 weeks left!! Good Morning!

Just sending out a post to everyone to make sure everyone is on the same page regarding my upcoming maternity leave:

My maternity leave will start Oct. 14th, I plan on coming back Jan 1st, however I may come back sooner in Dec (part time) if all goes well with labor and delivery (I'll keep everyone posted!) I talked to my Doctor and she suggested taking maternity leave a lil early due to my physical state (little boy is sitting on my pelvis making it hard to stand/walk)

If your dog has a grooming appt with me BEFORE Oct. 14th, I'll see ya then! If it's on or after the date, I do apologize as I'll have to cancel as my health/pregnancy does have to come first. If you're unsure when your appt is, feel free to send me a text and I'll double check for you! I do have a few local groomers you may reach out to regarding an appt in the mean time:

So many beautiful K-9s that came to get all fancied up to frolic in the soon to be falling leaves of fall!! It's just around the corner! Hope everyone is staying happy and healthy as this chilly weather starts to set in! (Makes me excited for hoodie weather!) Just a couple reminders for everyone that:

1. The one year anniversary of A Bark on the Bend being open is coming up on Sept 25th, so stay tuned as I have some specials deals planned!

2. I will be going on maternity leave here soon in October! I haven't decided yet whether it'll be after the 2nd week, or 3rd week yet - ill keep all clients posted when I decide!

For those who may not be in the loop, A Bark On the Bend will be expecting a new "future groomer in training" come Nov 11th 2024! We are all super excited for his arrival! ✨️Things to ask your groomer/future groomer!✨️

As I have mentioned before, the grooming industry is 🚫NOT🚫 regulated like the human cosmetology, barber, and esthetic industry.

What this means is that basically ANYONE can purchase tools from amazon, walmart, or wherever and call themselves a groomer and charge people for it...even though they have 0 training nor insurance.
There are NO formal licenses required for grooming!

There are, however, several accredited grooming schools and academys as well as apprenticeships that offer several week courses which include canine anatomy, in depth training of bathing and drying each different breeds coat, breed standard grooms, show grooms and much more.
Many of these require you to perfect bathing, conditioning and drying and have an understanding of canine anatomy before even touching sharp objects!

These are some of the major questions to ask when choosing a groomer!

❗️Don't just choose them because they are the cheapest!
❗️Don't just choose them because they have an immediate opening tomorrow.

You are handing over a living being 🐶 to someone who will be handling sharp objects around their faces, sanitary areas, etc.

Make sure your family's pet(s) is/are in safe, gentle and caring hands! 🫶
