POLICY AS OF 2024:
LAST MINUTE RESCHEDULING & CANCELATIONS: All clients will be charged 50% of their groom services total if a late rescheduling occurs or a last-minute cancelation (less than 24hrs prior.) Clients are allowed to reschedule up to 2x within a month without penalty. In the event of additional rescheduling beyond the specified limit, A Bark On The Bend LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate services for the client in question. All Fees must be paid before the next appointment may be made.
NO CALL/NO SHOW: No call/ no-shows that occur the day of the appointment will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount. Fees must be paid before a new appointment can be made.
VACCINES: A Bark on the Bend requires all canine clients to be up to date on RABIES at minimum. We do recommend that dogs be up to date on all vaccines (Rabies, Lepto, Parvo, and Bordetella.) All feline clients are required to be up to date on FVRCP, Rabies, and Feline Leukemia. Proof of vaccinations is required, and all vaccines must be done 48 hours prior to the scheduled grooming appointment. If dog or cat is not up to date, or proof of vaccines are not given, services may be discontinued for that appointment.
ENTERING AND EXITING THE SALON, DROP OFF, AND PICK UP:
We ask that you please have all dogs on a leash when entering and exiting the salon. This is to ensure the safety of your pet and others. Cats need to be in a carrier for safe transport to and from the salon. LATE pickups (after 30minutes) will result in a 15$ dog sitting fee.
INJURIES:
There is always the possibility of cuts, nicks, or burns during the grooming process. Some pets are harder to handle than others, and accidents can occur. There are also times when mat burns show after they are shaved out. This is not caused by the groomer being careless but the severity of the mats. We will always do an inspection of your pet upon arrival and in the bathtub. Your groomer will notify you of anything they find during those. Should any cuts occur during the grooming process, we will notify you and advise you on how to treat these. Injuries caused due to the condition of the dog or cats matting is NOT the responsibility of A Bark on the Bend, and any vet costs due to these are at the expense of the client.
FLEAS:
If your dog has fleas, please treat them a week or more prior to their grooming appointment. Should your dog be brought to us with an infestation, which is discovered after the groom has started, a flea surcharge of $15-45$ (dog size depending) will apply. This covers the cost of flea elimination: pets with fleas are washed 2-3 times with specialist shampoo, towels must be bagged and laundered separately, and the salon must be thoroughly cleansed and disinfected.
MATTING:
All prices quoted for our grooming services are a starting price. If your dog is excessively matted, a surcharge of $1 per minute of dematting will apply. If we find the condition of a dogs coat to be severely matted and incapable of de-matting without causing undue stress and pain to the dog, the dog may be clipped down for reasons of health and well being. All owners will be advised of this prior to us undertaking any de-matting or clip down service. A matted dog/cat release will be signed prior to the groom.
PAYMENT:
We accept cash and all major credit cards. Checks are not accepted.
REFUNDS:
We do not offer refunds for grooms. We want you to love how your pet looks when services are concluded. If anything needs to be fixed please notify the groomer right away so they can address any issues immediately.
