Some of you may be following Will's story. He was found engulfed in flames at the beginning of December and has been fighting so hard. 🐾 In honor of what would have been Betty White's 100th birthday today, please look into the and donate to a rescue in need. Will still needs lots of prayers and donations if you're interested. ❤

Will is stable. He gave us quite a scare. All of his caregivers were there to tell him how much he's loved. There were a lot of tears. He needed the transfusion but because of the temperature spike (105 degrees!) he couldn't get the transfusion. We were sure it was goodbye :'( .
After about an hour, he lifted his head and tried to nibble on a tissue so we tried food again, this time he ate! He had some sandwich meat and sensitive stomach food. He ate! After eating, his temperature was checked again and it was down to 102! Normal!
The decision had to be made to move forward with the transfusion or not. If his temperature spikes during the transfusion, it could be fatal. However, not doing the transfusion could be fatal. The decision was not made lightly but because he'd perked up some, eaten and his temperature was currently down, we chose to start the transfusion.
He is currently receiving the transfusion and we are waiting as patiently as possible by the phone. This is where we have to remember that no news is good news.
There are other decisions to be made tomorrow if he makes it through the night and how his bloodwork and vitals are looking. We may be moving him to the university hospital. We'll discuss all of the options with his main veterinarian and go from there. In the meantime, we pray that he makes it through the transfusion safely.
As always, thank you for your continued support, donations, shares and prayers!
