In 2002 Precious and Pootie were found in the back yard of an abandoned home in Florida with their mom and siblings in a bag. I had just been to a cat show and fell in love with Main C***s and couldn't afford one, so I thought I would join a rescue group and adopt one. These kittens were turned into a kill shelter and Pet finder had just gotten started and pictures were taken and posted on the int

ernet. Prior to that you would have to go in person to a shelter to find an animal to rescue. These kittens were thought to be Main C**n , so the Main C**n rescue group was contacted and the president and members at the time flew from Maine to Florida to see if these were real Main C**n kitties. They soon discovered the Mother had been put down and they were not pure bred Main C***s. They were scheduled to be put down, but the rescue group saved them and took them to a non kill shelter. The kittens had developed upper respiratory disease . Cats develop this disease in shelters from living in their liter box. They were all sick with this terrible disease. One by one they were going to the hospital to be treated and were on the verge of losing them all as the disease was killing them. They had all been adopted by a photo by several different people. This was in Dec 2002 when they were only a few weeks old. I had to wait until Jan or Feb to get my two kitties I had chosen. The kittens were very sick and all but three were dead. The person that had wanted to adopt Precious had changed their mind as she was very ill and we were told she wouldn't make it. Somehow she did and now didn't have a home so I said I would take her and the other two. We drove almost three hours to pick them up and what an exciting day they were the cutest kittens I had ever seen and they were mine! When we picked them up everyone at the shelter wanted to know where we got those beautiful kittens. All the way home Precious and Buddy cried and cried and Pootie the Alpha Male sat up and put his big paw on their heads like he was telling them to be quiet! We traveled cross country to Oregon with them and they loved it there. Buddy died last year to KD another deadly disease that kills cats. Pootie has it now so we are doing the best we can to make his last years his happiest. I recently lost my dad and was on the internet a lot and joined a few cat pages and started posting photo's of my cats and the response has been so overwhelming that I decided to start their own page.

We've been in a snow globe for a few days . They called it a ice cream sandwich. About 7 inches of snow first. 3 inches of ice and then the top has a few inches of snow on top.
The ferals are in the she shed filled with straw and heated homes. Thanks to dad a path was continuously shoveled so they could walk back up and go in the heated garage if they wanted too.
Slate seems to be the only one that has taken up house in there.
So far we have power, but our road hasn't been cleared. We are managing for now.
The temps are going to minus zero this week and will make things more difficult for the animals and travel.
Saturday we are expecting more snow, so keep the feral babies in your heart until we get through this

This is Nicole a woman I met on the lost and found cat page. She feeds a lot of cats like I do and she tries to take care of them all like I do even though she's a single mom with lots of kids and it's hard to take care of everyone. I brought her over this fountain that I used to keep for pretty and precious and have since switched it out and gave it to her and the cats just love it look how excited they are about this fountain. Sure made my day just to get this video.

She just went to the store to get food to prepare for the storm that we are having and this is the love that she gets when she comes home. Everlasting love. She feeds a lot of cats like I do. I try to help her with things that I have like blankets and fountains and bowls and things that I've had over the years that I've collected her cats love them
