pupsicool is Dedicated to the Underdog

Our story began with a lonely stray border collie mix along a Texas highway on a hot summer afternoon. Found by a dog loving police officer, she was lucky enough to end up at Austin Pets Alive. Still sad after losing her 15-year-old golden retriever, Julie was lucky enough to find Bowdoin patiently waiting for her forever home. Diagnosed with heartworms, Bowdoin still had one more challenge to overcome. Her painful treatment would be followed by a month of doggie bed rest.

Wanting to comfort her new companion, Julie experimented in her tiny SoCo kitchen to create an all-natural, low-calorie ice pop made with venison bone broth to keep Bowdoin cool and entertained during her recovery. She went crazy for it, and so did all her four-footed friends! Watching how excited their dogs were to sample this new creation, requests for more began pouring in. Julie and Bowdoin realized that they would quickly outgrow the tiny kitchen where it all began.

Inspired by the enthusiastic response from dogs and their owners, friends joined their pack and together, they set out to make pupsicool available to every dog lover in Austin.

We have found a home in pupsicool. Our pack continues to grow. You'll find us roaming the neighborhood, ridiculously excited to share our fun and healthy treats with the cool dogs of Austin, Texas.
