Maintaining dogs healthy throughout the year is a tough job, and tougher in a shelter setting. Our team members spend hours in a day cleaning, feeding, doing medical checks, playing with the dogs to ensure they are well settled.
As winter sets in, all dogs need warmth and giving them blessings is just basic. During the day the beddings and boris are all sundried and changed with different beddings for the day. All this takes time and effort.
Do you have faith that government run shelters will be half as dedicated?
Shelters are not feasible for Indian street dogs and should only be an option for those dogs who are old, handicapped and needing monitoring and care.
