*Please be aware that the images provided may not be entirely accurate or of the best quality, as my does are currently unwilling to cooperate.* If concerns about your doe's size for breeding arise, measuring her pelvis may be beneficial. Although this method is not 100% accurate, as some does' pelvic bones may be smaller than the measured size, it can provide a general indication. To measure a doe's pelvis, identify the "thurl", the space between the pin bones located at the rear of the goat's hindquarters. Measure the distance between the two pin bones at their widest point, ensuring the goat stands squarely with its hind legs together. This measurement is the pelvic width.

Looking for a low waste hay feeder?! Look no further! If you own goats you know they waste more hay than they eat. This is a dog play pen and I just took each panel apart and stuck it in the corner hooked to screws with zip ties! It seems to work pretty well.

I was supposed to be taking a break… but my goats udders are too great not to share! This is patches my Nigerian/alpine cross. She’s the herd queen and her udder so far is the biggest one we have! This will be her 4th time kidding so I don’t think it’ll get any bigger than last year, but we shall see!🥛

Patches is having TRIPLETS😳 no surprise she has triplets every time! The third one is hiding but if you look close you can see it.

I’m not typically one to do videos but with social media you come out of your comfort zone just alittle! here’s how to give a subcutaneous (sub-Q) injection. Please note that you do not wanna give no more than 5cc of medication in one injection site, you’ll wanna divide it into two spots if you have more medication than that. ✨everyone gives injections their own way✨ as long as you make a tent with the skin and insert the needle and the medicine didn’t drip back out, you did it correctly. Don’t let anyone say you could’ve done it a different way! Do things on your farm however you like❤️
