The picture below are the parent and children of Rhaetulus crenatus crenatus from our breeding project. It's a cute success story since the one who raised the grandfather of this batch is actually the father of one of our staff members. He gifted the team with a few larvae a year back, which we raised, and eventually bred to get this batch. An awesome father-son legacy ✌️

On a brighter note, here's an update on one of our breeding projects. This mother has just awakened from her slumber. This is Megasoma gyas porioni, one of the more uncommon species of Megasoma. Hopefully the father will be pupating soon 😁

Euchirus dupontianus LARVAE, also known as the giant watermelon long-arm beetle (Although we think it looks more like a Tiger 🐅), is available again. In our experience, breeding and raising them is easy, however, raising them to big sizes is a bit of a challenge 💪

This species was only recently separated from Megasoma actaeon even though they are both found in the Amazon Rainforest. It is the classic example of why listing distribution, and only breeding within the same distribution is important. We never know maybe in the future our beetles we thought were the same species, but from a different area, are actually 2 different species.

Lamprima adolphinae is a great beetle for those that do not want to wait too long for adult beetles as their larval duration is not so long, as compared to other beetles. They are also very colorful and look very pretty. Definitely one of the most unique looking stag beetles! 💎

2-3 years placed in temperatures of 20C for 24/7, they have grew to pretty much the most expensive beetle we have here. We'll be releasing a few pairs (NOT RECOMMENDED for people who are not willing to invest money, especially in electricity bills, to breed this beetle. We may also screen interested buyers)

It might not look like it, but this beetle is actually generally more expensive than famous giant beetles such as hercules beetle. But since this was a gift to us from our friend, we have opted to not sell it as expensive compared to international prices such as in Taiwan and to run a quick opening sale for a few days so that hopefully more people would be willing to try 😊

From Turkey 🇹🇷, this captive bred Lucanus cervus akbesianus is one of the European lucanus beetles. Lucanus stag beetles typically require cold temperatures (18-20C for asian, 19-21C for european) as they live in high altitudes. Although we were able to raise some minor adults in room temperature, their fatility was high as larva and as inactive beetles. After emerging as adults, they will typically sleep and not eat for up to more than a year in very low temperatures (3C). While they will survive for a long time hibernating, we recommend removing and waking them up at the 6-8th month mark. Keeping multiple generations is also difficult because of the huge difference in timing of emergence of males vs females, hence here we breed them in batches. Females typically will stay as larvae for 8-24 months, while males can range from 12-36 months.

Photo shows minor, medium and major sizes. Sadly we were not able to rear super major sizes which can reach 9cm+, hopefully we can reach that in the next generation.

Taste the rainbow! 🌈

We're releasing one pair from our breeding of Lamprima adolphinae. The rest will be used for our breeding. This is one of the most colorful stag beetles, with a wide-ranging variety of colors. Supposed to be a beginner beetle as well. 1st picture is the actual pair for release (Pristine condition), while 2nd picture is a picture we took while visiting an insect museum a few years back 😁

Breeding bin set! 😁

This is one of our personal breeding projects. Lucanus taiwanus is part of the notorious Asian Lucanus groups. They're notorious for being sensitive to temperature. This species is not recommended to anyone unless they have a way to control temperatures to 18-20C. After the temperature problem is solved, everything is actually not so difficult, but they do take quite a while as larvae (around 2 years). But just looking at the pictures and how awesome they look, they're well worth the effort! 😊

As thank you to our dear friend who gifted us this, We'll be giving out FREE 3 pcs larva for the first person who can comment the correct beetle. Please read the rules/mechanics below for more information. 🥳

Mechanics/Rules:
1. Unlimited tries. Please only comment the scientific name (genus + species) of the beetle. Common name of the beetle will not be accepted. The correct answer will have a heart react by us, while wrong answers will have a like react.
2. 3 pieces larvae of this species will be given out as a prize IF WE SUCCEED IN BREEDING. If we don't succeed after around 4-6 months, we will replace with a different larvae of our choosing. Shipping (without any live arrival guarantees) will be shouldered by the winner.

Another breeding project, this time, from Madagascar 🇲🇬 😁✌️(Not for sale)

This is quite an uncommon beetle even in international breeding communities. This species is interesting because minor, medium, and major mandibles are vastly different. This one is actually medium, once they reach major sizes, they lose that characteristic curve. We're very lucky to be able to have the chance to breed this African beetle 🙏

Also we'll be fully open starting next week. We just have to fix the inventories. Thank you for your patience 😊

Time to douse 💧 the fire sale! Thank you very much to all who availed of beetles from our recent fire sale, which is now officially over. It's been awhile since we sold out on adult beetles so we're taking this time to express our sincerest gratitude to all the support you guys have given us again. We will strive to give you the best service we can, just to reciprocate the support you've all given us 🙇‍♂️

Some of our staff will be taking a well-deserved vacation this August, so the store will not be fully-functioning until next month. Replies to the page may be late, and only orders within Metro Manila will be fulfilled, and only of beetle supplies or larvae. No/few adult beetles will likely be sold this month. Once again, thank you all so much 🙏

Side note: These are small predacious diving beetles which we will experiment on breeding and raising again. Clues to their genus or species are welcome and will be greatly appreciated hehe
