We had a good weekend at the Snowbird Retriever Club in Boston Georgia. Arrow won the Derby and Trace, owned by Jeff Henderson, earned a JAM. Thanks to the judges, landowners and numerous club members who worked to host this trial.

We had a great weekend at the Back Bay Knotts Island Derby/Qualifying. Trace, owned by Jeff Henderson, won the Derby. Posh, owned by Shelby Songy, took third place and Steffy, owned by Hank Culp, took fourth place.
We would like to thank the judges, land owners and all the volunteers who worked together to host a very efficient trial.

We had a great weekend at the Lumber River Retriever Club Double D/Q. Posh, owned by Shelby Songy, won the first derby. Trace, owned by Jeff Henderson, took second place in the second derby. Piper, also owned by Jeff Henderson, took fourth place in the Qualifying. We would like to thank the land owners, judges and club members for working to host this trial.

We would like to give a special thanks to Steve Coombes, our Assistant Trainer, for doing a great job handling the dogs this weekend.

Wow, what an experience.

Jack (FC West Bay’s Jolly Roger), owned by Hank Culp, qualified for the National Retriever Championship this year. This past week at the NRC, which was held in Cheraw, SC, we competed against the top retrievers and field trial trainers in the country.

Jack ran an excellent trial through 10 series and was one of the National Finalists.

We would like to thank the judges, the committee and all of the volunteers for working tirelessly to host this event. We would also like to thank all of the members of our pre-national training group, especially Al Arthur and Alan Pleasant, who organized and coordinated our pre-national training.

A special congratulations to Alvin Hatcher whose dog, Luke, is the 2021 National Retriever Champion!!! 🏆

Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank all of the members of the West Bay Retrievers team. This would not be possible without their hard work and dedication.

This past weekend we ran the Swamp Dog trial in New Jersey. Angel, owned by Hank Culp, took second place in the Open and Jack, owned by Hank Culp, earned a JAM. In the Qualifying, Blaney, owned Chad Suttles, took second place and Luke, owned by David Hamel, earned a Jam. In the Derby, Rosie, owned by Andy Craven earned a JAM. We would like to thank the landowners, judges and workers for putting on a good trial.

This is a delayed post which covers trials that we attended the past two weekends. First, we went to the Lake Champlain trial in Vermont where Rosie, owned by Andy Craven, took third place in her first Derby. Blaney, owned by Chad Suttles earned a JAM in the derby. Next, we ran the Central New York trial where Lottie, owned by Chris and Cynthia Parkinson, took third place in the Qualifying. Luke, owned by David Hamel, earned the Reserve JAM and Blaney, owned by Chad Suttles, earned a JAM in the Qualifying.

We are very appreciative of the property owners who allow us to use their property and also the club members who work tirelessly to host these trials.

The Down East Retriever Club held their first summer field trial in Copenhagen NY. We would like to thank the judges for giving their time and the landowners for allowing the use of their amazing grounds.
We would also like to congratulate our clients whose dogs did well in the Qualifying. Lottie, who is 20 months old and owned by Chris and Cynthia Parkinson, earned 4th place, Blaney, who is 23 months old and owned by Chad Suttles, earned a JAM, Luke, owned by David Hamel, ran his first trial and earned a JAM and Piper, owned by Jeff Henderson earned a JAM.
