Ashley's healing, Caitlin's growing, and we're still grooming, here's our latest Newsletter from Grooming Cohens

Hey Hey , just a quick update!

Ashley is currently on medical leave through June as she recovers from a hysterectomy. Surgery went well on Friday and she has been home healing through the weekend. We appreciate your patience and support while she recovers.

Caitlin will begin maternity leave on May 10th, as we prepare to welcome Baby Robin, due to arrive on May 25th! Big Sister Rose is taking all the changes in stride and is (mostly) excited to meet her new little brother.

A friendly reminder Virginia will be rejoining Grooming Cohens this week to keep your pups clean this spring. If you have any questions, need to schedule an appointment, or just want to say hello, feel free to reach out - we’re still here behind the scenes while we both recover and bond as a growing family.

For those that have asked, we’ve created a small Amazon Baby Registry, which includes a few helpful items for mamas, baby, and big sister. Your support, in any form, means the world to our family.

Meet Ashley, the second groomer at Grooming Cohens! 🐾 She joined our pack a year after we opened, bringing nearly 20 years of experience from an established corporate shop in Encinitas. Known as the “better half” of Grooming Cohens, Ashley manages our schedule throughout the week, ensuring everything runs smoothly while providing stress-free, in-home grooming. She absolutely loves what we do and enjoys grooming on Wednesdays. 💇‍♀️✨

Saturday was bring Rose to work day! How is she almost 4 at the end of March? 🧁 She loved watching and feeding treats to Greg and Gary, while soaking in all the doggy spa fun! 🐶 Ashley and I are so proud to have our Little One so interested in grooming and by our side as we make pups look their best!

Kona is starting the year off with a groom 🎀 I love this little doodle, she likes to tap dance on the table and is an excellent exercise in patience, a good trait for a fear free house call groomer. She doesn’t like her toes groomed but at almost four we can do her whole groom in two hours, including a nail grinding. I’m so proud of her ✨ she really is a cutie 🥰

Here is our old lady Lacey, the apple of her mommas eyes and a shaky little Pom. At 14 she doesn’t love leaving her home and can be overwhelmed by a busy shop. We love being able to offer our well loved seniors a fear free experience and don’t mind giving her the time to take a breather between bath, drying and her haircut. We love that Mom trusts us around Lacey’s protests and the grace when her haircut is a little lopsided like Lacey’s balance 😅 she’s really a cutie 🎀
