11/11 Happy Birthday to my Mollie Quinn; it’s also 5 years since she came to Fall 2019.

I’m so proud of how far she’s come 💜 she’s a funny hopping little bunny who loves to cuddle.

She has SO MANY nicknames, but no matter which I love my Mollie, Mollie-Mo, Mo-Bear, Miss
Mollie, Mo, Mo Better Blues, Motor-Mollie… my sweet girl 💜

DODGER is a 1 year old PB “small standard” red merle Australian shepherd, he’s around 35 lbs.

Dodger is crate-trained and housebroken but is young and also needs patience during transition. He has a moderate energy level and definitely LOVES his daily outside time. Typical of the breed Dodger is eager to please and ready to learn more!

Dodger knows some basic commands like sit, down and paw. He is neutered, microchipped & current on all shots and totally ready to belong to someone!

Dodger was brought into a local shelter as a stray; we work with this shelter a lot and have taken every Aussie or close mix they’ve contacted us about the past year. 2 Kennel Tech/Adoption Counselors there are EXCELLENT assessors who also volunteer for DASH.

Dodger has been given “office privileges” this whole week because he is so sweet and friendly! He is also a snuggle bug and not “hyper.”

Dodger is very treat-motivated and praise-trained; he will warm up to people well after he gets to decompress.

Dodger needs fenced space to run and explore and to have owners that are able to spend a good amount of time outside with him; we would LOVE Dodger to have another dog to play with similar in size range and breed type.

SPARK is a fun and friendly adult Australian Shepherd - Border Collie mix who is a GREAT FAMILY DOG looking for a Forever Home.

Spark loves leash walks, playing fetch, chasing a ball, tossing his toys around and is the quintessential Aussie who also loves to be a Velcro Buddy Dog.

Spark is terrific with children; he’s fostering with a family who has a 9 year old daughter and he’s always gentle and loving and they love to play together. We look for herding breed-savvy kids 9 and older; Spark is a gentle but strong guy and we think that older kids would be the best match.

Spark is an Intelligent dog who is eager to please and to learn new tricks.
He is Loyal and loves activity: Playing, running, jumping and other tricks he can be taught.

Spark is fascinated by balloons and loves to chase them. He’s also a great athlete and likes to catch tennis balls and frisbees.

Spark will always welcome you home with a wagging tail and a smile. He’s very loyal and loves to be with humans.

Spark doesn’t have any anxiety; he’s not afraid of storms and if you are he will be happy to cuddle up next to you!

Spark loves everyone; men and women, children of all ages and other dogs, too. He would be a great playmate for another dog and has never met one he doesn’t love ❤️

The only reason Spark needs a home is because his original owners returned to China in 2022 after COVID expecting to return; they left him with a friend’s family to care for him but now are not returning to the U.S.

Spark’s foster family loves him but never planned on having him long-term; they are not home as often as we would like for Spark and though they’ve been wonderful to Spark they aren’t “big-dog people.”

Finally, Spark has one very special quality that’s unique to any other Aussie that DASH has ever had 😅 he is Bi-Lingual - but not in Spanish.

Spark “speaks” MANDARIN! 😂

So he’s a lot smarter than I am, certainly, and I can only barely get by with minimal Spanish and moderate French (also not exactly the communication “de jour” of Texas 🤣🤪🥰)

This will mean that his training COMMANDS will need a bit of retraining but his current family is happy to help his new family with some commands and phrases, too!

💗 Beautiful 💗 Bubbly 💗 BFF

BAILEY is a super-sweet young adult purebred Aussie in need of a new forever home. Her owner passed a few months ago and her other owner had to move into Assisted Living.

Bailey has never met a stranger! She is very friendly and lovable. She is particularly great when playing in the yard because she doesn’t bark at people jogging, driving, walking by. She just wants to run around and try to catch squirrels then flop down on the patio to soak up some rays.

Bailey would love to be someone’s only dog. She is very well-behaved inside, housebroken, doesn’t need a crate and is happy just to chill by her humans most of the time.

Bailey loves going on walks, hiking, exploring and other outdoor activities. She’s a very moderate energy level indoors and doesn’t require constant attention; she’s more of a companion dog and would love someone who is home to hang out with her.

Bailey is gentle with people of all ages; she hasn’t lived with young children so we aren’t sure that would be the best placement. However Bailey would be great with older kids and or a large male companion dog If there is one. She’s one of few Aussies we get who would also be content to be the only dog.

Bailey is smart and affectionate. She is a free-spirit and needs a high privacy fence because her curious nature might allow her to try and get out and about. However, she’s not a door-darter, she doesn’t try to leave from indoors and definitely wants to stick by her people.

Say Hi to Happy Hazel
She is a young, playful and energetic Australian Shepherd who appears to have some flat coat retriever in her; she’s a perfect mix of loyalty, energy and companionship.

Hazel needs a companion dog to play and wrestle with. She is good with other dogs and has an energy level of 8 out of 10 when her power switch is “on.”

Hazel ALSO makes a great pet because she loves to be close to her humans, and follow them everywhere. She is a great companion who needs a lot of attention and positive reinforcement. Her energy level will adjust to her environment.

Hazel is funny and has a silly personality. She loves to sleep on her back with all four feet in the air. She is food-motivated and will sneak from someone else's bowl if she can get away with it. She is crate trained but does not really need a crate and would rather sleep with her human at night - or naptime.

Hazel is friendly to people but might bark at first; this is a typical Aussie behavior. She will happily learn more greeting and socialization in her new home.

Hazel has a great disposition, she’s smart and eager to please as well as treat and praise- motivated. She knows several commands but always loves learning more to please her human!

Hazel has lived in a home with a canine companion but he is moving out with his owner and Hazel’s wants her to have a home where she can get more time and attention.

SWEET STELLA

STELLA is a young, playful border collie-flat coat retriever mix who needs an active home where someone would enjoy taking her on long walks and runs.

Stella is a faithful human companion; she wants to be around people as much as possible whether out enjoying activities or home to chill out and cuddle.

Stella loves to snuggle on the sofa, belly rubs and also to “shake paws.” She’s extremely smart and eager to please; she would be wonderful for someone with training interest and experience.

Stella loves children; she is so sweet with kids and really enjoys playing with them, playing fetch and retrieve or just hanging out as a buddy.

Although Stella is very playful with other dogs in general she’s probably best being the only dog in her house. While Stella really loves to play with other dogs on visits, at parks and other settings we think she’d be happiest as an only dog at home.

Stella doesn’t bark unnecessarily in the yard or outside on walks but she has some retriever in her so she’s very interested in birds and squirrels

Stella has not exhibited anxiety to any storms, sirens and other loud noises; she quite resilient which is a positive aspect of having survived as a homeless dog.

We are looking for a home and owner where Stella’s confidence can be appreciated but also where the humans have the time and patience to work with her on basic behaviors like jumping on people.

She’s a very loving dog but would definitely be better suited for a home where someone is home a good part of the day.

LOYAL 💙 LIVELY 💙 LOVING

LUKE is a 3 year old PB Small Standard Tricolor Australian shepherd, he’s about 42 lbs.

Luke is crate-trained, has
a moderate energy level but definitely LOVES his daily outside time. Typical of the breed he is eager to please.

Luke knows basic commands like sit, stay, roll over, and paw. He is neutered, microchipped & current on all shots.

Luke was said to exhibit anxiety in new situations but DASH has had him in two different foster homes all summer so we could say with confidence he settled into both homes easily.

Luke is very treat-motivated and praise-trained; he warms up to people who show him affection and praise him a lot 💜

DASH is looking for a moderately active home for Luke; he originally came to DASH from a home with small children and they were the cause of his anxiety so we want a mature owner / home for him now. Like all new dogs Luke needs to decompress awhile in his new environment but he definitely enjoys being outdoors.

Luke has been living with multiple dogs at both DASH homes. He’s interacted well with our own dogs and other fosters; he may not show it immediately but he does love playing with other dogs and will get the zoomies, race around, tackle and mix it up well.

Luke is house-trained and does not need a crate. He is not destructive and can be left free in the home especially with another dog. One of his quirks is he does Not like to be behind a closed door if he knows his humans are home.

Luke is extremely smart, eager to please and was very well-trained on commands: sit, stay, shake. He needs to brush up on commands like: sit pretty, give me 10, right, left, jump, Target and find it.

Luke was very well leash-trained however while in our homes at DASH we don’t do a lot of leash walking; when you have multiple dogs to care for they play together outside and especially in the summer we keep them indoors.

Luke does really enjoys his walks and will love exploring parks and hiking trails once he’s secure with his new people.

We would love to see Luke go to an Aussie-Experienced family who has another dog of similar age and size as a companion. He was an only-dog before coming to DASH and he wasn’t socialized outside of the home. It was no one’s fault but he was bought during COVID so his first 2 years didn’t allow for many opportunities.

If you’ve been looking for a sweet, loyal medium-sized Aussie as a companion for a person or couple with a female or submissive male dog Luke could be perfect for you!

🍀 Sweet Petite Mini TAZ! 🍀

Taz is an adorable little dog with a big heart. He’s a smart and funny well-socialized mini Aussie who’s in need of a New Forever home.

Taz is a very happy, sociable little guy. We would love to find him a home with a canine companion. A larger young female or another submissive male who is also energetic and eager to play would be perfect.

Taz gets along great with other dogs big and small. He loves kids but is still active and can be a jumper so we are looking for a home without young children.

Taz is housebroken and likes cuddling on the bed at night.
He has no problem sleeping on the floor if it suits his new owners and if not permitted on other furniture he will obey. He definitely loves to snuggle if he can be on a sofa or bed with his peeps.

Taz has been responsive to training in his foster home. He’s been working on Sit, Come and Stay as well as leash training. He is a good student and eager to please; Tax thrives on positive reinforcement and in typical Aussie style he wants to be wherever his humans are!

In his foster home Tax is enjoying 3 walks a day. He knows how to use a doggie-door and might decide to grab a quick nap outside. On walks Taz seems to really enjoy the new sights and smells and he will be completely leash trained very quickly.

Taz is in need of a new home by no fault of his own; his owners have new, much more time-consuming jobs and they know Taz deserves the time and attention he used to have.

Taz’s foster adores him
and says “he will make a wonderful addition to any
family.” He is sad it can't be his haha - but Taz needs someone more active.

💙💙 ADOPTED! 💙💙

SAMSON is a beautiful, young red-merle medium-sized Aussie who is full of energy and absolutely loves to play. If you let him, he will play fetch with his favorite squeaky ball all day. He also really likes to play chase around the backyard.

Samson is very affectionate; he LOVES butt scratches. Sometimes, when playing fetch, he will run to you with the ball still in his mouth, turn his butt towards you, and “back-up” into you waiting for you to start scratching. Funny guy!

Samson is obedient and knows how to take "no" for an answer (most of the time). He knows quite a few tricks, and he's more than happy to show them with a treat or two. He is incredibly smart and takes little to no time to learn new tricks!

Samson is not a picky eater whatsoever and will take any food or treat that you present to him.

Samson is a very typical velcro-Aussie; he wants to be as close to you as possible in whatever you're doing. He'll sit right on you while you're watching TV if you let him. Cooking, lying in bed, showering? Samson
Is right there with you.

Once you earn his trust and love, it'll be hard to peel him away from your side.

Samson’s owners have had to move from a house with a yard to an apartment; Samson is not having a good experience living apartment-style so it is with heavy hearts his owners want him to get him back into a house like the one he loved so much.

For Samson’s sake it is important that he is rehomed with people who have the resources to provide continued and of course who are willing to put in the time, energy, and effort for him. We know Samson was happier when his humans were not gone all day so work schedules are a factor.

Samson will thrive in a home with people who can keep up with his high energy. Again, running and playing in a yard is obviously a desire but he also loves long walks. Samson will also love adventures like hiking around some terrain or through creeks and wooded areas.

Samson also gets along with other dogs and would be a great companion for the right size, aged and breed of a female or another submissive male dog! Since he’s been through a recent change we don’t think kiddos are a good match right now; he loves kids but he needs to “be the kid” for a little longer!

Meet Lovely Luna!
Luna is a four year old purebred female blue merle Aussie. She is full of life and love to share with her new family.

Luna is moderately active; she loves to play with any kind of ball, likes to fetch and retrieve and play with whoever she can get to pitch! She likes all kinds of toys and definitely loves to try new ones with her humans.

Luna also loves to cuddle, she’s warm and friendly and eager to please. She enjoys being around her humans but is also good with other dogs and even cats!

Luna LOVES car rides and other outdoor adventures; she’s always up for a road trip and is one of the most committed canine travel companions we have ever had.

She’s athletic and loves to run and would be a great dog for a jogging or hiking companion. She’s also well trained on leash.

The only reason Luna needs a new home is because her human family has an elderly relative moving in and they’re afraid she may jump up on the person just being her loving self.
