"I've been meaning to write a review for a while, but I'm glad I waited. Putting more miles on my saddle has just reinforced my first impression. When I bought my little mule in December, I knew I didn't want to ride her unless she had something on her back that fit. Proceed, me going down the rabbit hole of saddle company's that actually adhere to ethics of equine comfort I agreed with, and putting riders in a classic biomechanically correct position!
When I research something, I get IN to it and here I stumble on a company that literally checked every box for science based saddle fit and comfort for rider and equine.
My saddle took a mere 9 weeks from order to completion. Staci helped me with dimensions in such a knowledgeable way.
I've had my saddle for 4 months now. I use it on my mule, which it fits beautifully. The first time I put ït on her and lunged her in it, she had the craziest emotional releases. I don't think she'd ever worn a saddle that didn't hurt her. I also use it on multiple other mules at the pack station I work at. It fits them all better than any saddle I've ever seen for a mule. I ride in it for hours every day and I have to say I have never ever been in such a comfortable saddle. It pretty much forces you to have a neutral, effective pelvis and leg. My back never hurts, my legs never hurt. It's narrow in the seat for beautiful communication. It's light and easy to carry and throw. Im pretty much a big fan. Thank you guys, so very glad I found you. ❤"

"Great news! Staci, Lisa, and team, thank you so much for all of your help. I love the saddle. Staci, I'm very glad I listened to you about the make, seat size, and every other option that you helped guide me on. I'm sure you get that a lot :))) The horse chiropractor I use (who is also a saddle fitter) was also really impressed with the fit and quality.

"Alaska’s fully customized saddle from Allegany Mountain Saddlery is here!!! It fits him perfectly and is sooo comfy. Absolutely 100% the right decision to a) get a custom saddle built; and b) have AMS do it.
The entire process once my down payment was made took 3.5 months (order was placed between Christmas & NYE) and it was an absolute DREAM to work with Staci Saulter and Melissa! After Staci determined the 10 original kit trees from Steele® did not fit him well enough for her liking, so she sent out two specialty trees to try. Luckily one of those fit well enough to work, and Staci then customized *that* tree to Alaska’s back length & his specific flare/bar angle. Once the proper tree was determined, I filled out a form for the visual side of the saddle. Every single detail was chosen by me. All my questions or concerns were responded to in record time (seriously, I don’t think any response took longer than a business day). And you know the best part? This completely customized saddle (made by a company that legitimately wants to help you, no less!) and tailored to Alaska’s & my exact specific needs - cost about the same as a new (and quality) off the rack factory saddle!!!
Expectation turned into reality when I put the saddle on Alaska’s back… This thing fits him like a freaking glove! So then, I thought, well something’s got to give - it’s gotta fall short of being comfortable for me then. Or the seat will be too small/big. Well, I’m here to tell you that it ALSO fits ME like a glove. I don’t think I have ever been able to truly say that a company’s product AND promise actually managed to exceed my VERY high expectations…. until today. I just… guys. I am in complete awe over here."

Hi Staci,
I wanted to let you know that I have been riding in my Renegade Endurance saddle through the spring, in the arena and around my petite ranch, and through the summer that included riding in the Sierra mountains in Sequoia National Forest.
I could not be happier with this saddle. For one, I keep it in my home office just so I can look at it, it is so beautiful, a work of art.
My horse, Sherakai, seems very happy and moves well. But that is not only because of the custom fit of the tree, it is more because I am balanced in the saddle with my feet under me due to the placement of the stirrups.
All of my previous saddles had the stirrup leathers more forward which caused me to unwittingly pound my poor mare's back. No matter how hard I tried to post softly and sit balanced, those saddles made it impossible. I struggled all these years to have a balanced seat, blaming myself for poor horsemanship; when it was the saddle.
So now I find everything is easy and I am in fact a very good rider and balanced. I can ride the trot rising or sitting with softness and I have more confidence at the canter because I am balanced and moving with my horse. She appreciates it too and is more relaxed.
I wish I had had this saddle years ago and I am glad I made the decision to purchase it and be patient and wait for it to be made. It has been worth it!

Finally getting around to thanking you both for such an awesome experience from beginning to end during my purchase of my custom saddle for JoJo.
With the blistering heat we have had since I received the saddle, I have only ridden the saddle 4 times. But that has been more than enough time to fall in love with it. It’s fits JoJo perfectly and me as well.
My long struggle to find a saddle that properly fits his short back, narrow shoulders and high withers has finally come to an end. We have tried 15 saddles in the past 2 years before finding AMS.
You both were so wonderful to work with, and very patient with me.
And you delivered a high quality, attractive saddle, and most of all, a saddle that fits my horse and me. I love the Celtic braid that represents my heritage.
