Yellow Tree Monitors (Varanus reisingeri)
Three hatchlings fresh from the incubator. Bonus Wood Thrushes calling in the background!
Catch me on the The Trap Talk Podcast tonight on YouTube with MJ at 8:00PM EST. Geckos, monitors and more! See you then!
Another A. lythrochila dropping babies.
Varanus pilbarensis hatching out today. This will be the last of the monitors to hatch until Summer.
Both pairs of Yellow Trees (V. reisingeri) going at it strong yesterday!
A male holdback out of my GT High Color Dark Morph pairing.
Last Blue Tree Monitor (V. macraei) of the season!
One of my female Yellow Tree Monitors (Varanus reisengeri) munching down on a Dubia roach. This is the mother to the offspring I produced this past season.
Little holdback looking velvety after a recent shed!
I have been thinking for a while on a good term for these next level Chahoua that are popping out that have 50% or more white coloration on their bodies, and “Super White” seems to be fitting. My following female, The Oracle, is a perfect example of what I would call a “Super White”.
Bold little Yellow Tree Monitor (Varanus reisengeri)! Hatched 8/11/21
One of the Blue Trees from January.
Strophurus ciliaris holdback male from my “Crazy” pairing. This animal is the result of three generations of offspring dating back to to 2012. He has sired offspring this season.
Baby blues are getting bigger and bolder!
Juvenile yellow tree monitor (Varanus reisengeri) produced here.
Siblings from Azalea x Everest. I’m very happy with the consistency that has come from this pairing. White banding below the collar seems to be a strong trait in the offspring. NFS.
Young female GT CxAxMK ready to go. She is darkening up by the day and showing extremely colorful bars at a very young age. This line has proven to hold and gain their colorful bars as they mature. They also seem get just as dark as any mels I have seen out there (people often ask if they are Mel). These are special animals! After holding back five of her siblings, I cannot keep any more. Parents are very large and dark.
If you want a large, dark and colorful GT, here you go.
Hatched 2/11/21
