es training wasn't started until a horse was between two and three years old. When the blindfold was removed they were either thrown or they stayed in the saddle until they had ridden that horse. C**t he was working with had been "imprinted" and NOW, that it was a
YEAR Old ….. it was time to put a Halter on it - for the First Time! It took Three of them to put that Halter on the C**t, after they pinned it against the side of the Round Pen. It was probably a good thing that the C**t had been "Imprinted". A few of the "Old Timers" watched the way horses interacted and developed better and easier ways to train horses.... Easier on both You and the Horse. Development of “ Natural Horsemanship “ Training started with Horsemen like Ray Hunt, Tom and Bob Dorrance, and Al Dunning. Most of the Trainers that you see at Clinics demonstrating Natural Horsemanship learned from one or more of these "Masters". Desensitizing, Respect and Trust are important factors in Natural Horsemanship training and then everything else comes with a work ….. We have met a Number of the Nationally known Trainers and use the Methods taught by several of them in our Training. Each Trainer has their own means to accomplish an Objective and sometimes one method will work better than another ….. It's always good to have a "Bag full of Tricks". BUT we do not recommend a Trainer or Method of Training over another.... even though we have our Favorites. We believe in Natural Horsemanship Training with our animals. Our Animals ARE Imprinted and have a Rope Halter Put On and Taken Off from the Day they are Born. Then “Ground Schooling” soon follows
