🎃👻 Spooky Season Safety Tips for Your Cats! 👻🎃

Happy Halloween from all of us at Central Jersey Animal Rescue! While we love the fun, treats, and costumes, Halloween can be a little *tricky* for our furry friends. Here are some important tips to keep your cats safe this Halloween:

- Keep the Candy Out of Paws’ Reach! 🍬 Chocolate and certain candies are toxic to cats and dogs, so be sure to keep all treats stored safely away.

- Glow Sticks Aren't Cat Toys! 🌟 Though they might look fun, glow sticks can cause drooling and stomach upset if chewed on. Opt for regular toys to keep your cat entertained instead!

- Watch the Door! 🚪 With trick-or-treaters coming and going, it’s easy for curious cats to slip out. Consider keeping them in a cozy, quiet room to avoid any escape attempts!

- Skip the Scary Decorations! 👹 Things that light up, make loud noises, or move can be frightening to cats. Stick with pet-friendly decorations that won’t spook your furry companion.

- Careful with the Costumes! 🎩 If your cat isn't a fan of dressing up, don’t force it. Some may tolerate a simple collar or festive bandana. Always prioritize their comfort!
