All goats happily hopped on the milk stand to eat their chow while I trimmed their hooves and copper bolused them. EXCEPT for 200/250 pound Magnolia and Sonya. These two heavy ladies needed a lift 🤪

The ladies chilling this Sunday afternoon in between roaming the farm yard. And yes, you can have flowers with goats, you just to be a little bit creative 😆.

An upside down tomato cage with chicken wire around it, stapled on a wood block works great! Also fencing pots in on high wood stumps, lol. Everything else blooms in hanging baskets or in the fenced in veggie garden. It works.

Dalia, Georgina, Butter and Cream had their babies during the sub zero at night temp. week a couple weeks ago. All stayed cozy with heat lamps, here they are 😍 Some didn't care about getting their pics taken, so more to come.

Did you know that before Santa's sleigh was pulled by reindeer, presents were delivered by a goat? The Yule Goat dates back to pagan times, and had lots of jobs - from making sure holiday preparations were all correct, to delivering gifts, and later accompanying Santa on his rounds.

So tonight, if you hear the sounds of tiny hooves on your roof, maybe, just maybe they aren't reindeer! (Both reindeer and goats are still totally cool with the cookies, though.)

(There was also the sweetest picture of the little trophy winner along with goat and awards in the card, I'm just not sharing it as I don't know if they want to be published on facebook, but it does make one's heart smile.)

❄️ Snow pics from this morning. 14" over night on top. Most farm residents preferred breakfast in their barns and feeder sheds, but the horses and my gate greeter ladies braved the snow and dashed through it; so did the dogs. 🌨️.

Today's supervisors: Trouble on the spool, Dee and Georgina watching me picking up all the branches they had munched the needles and bark off.
While of course, Miscellaneous and her little squeaks took on the close supervision on the wood chipping part. Note, she placed her front hooves on a little rock to look more impressive on her job.

Little Ragnarson figured out today that drill and hammer are not edible. Luckily, the bark of the rails is though 😄
