elves, but want to keep them safe and protected from the harsh and brutal living conditions in war torn countries. In return, our soldiers want to protect them from harm. Although not every soldier is in a position to adopt their battle buddy once they return home, they go to great lengths to get their companions to our shelters to guarantee that these special animals aren't abused or killed once they depart. The Puppy Rescue Mission helps to find wonderful permanent homes and to raise the funds needed to get them to the USA. This is our way of thanking our military members for their service! Our troops and their soldiers are very relieved to know that their Battle Buddy gets the "happily ever after" they so rightly deserve. We have named this effort after Sasha, who bravely gave her life while protecting our troops from a suicide bomber on a military base in Afghanistan. Along with Target and Rufus, they helped to save the lives of 50 soldiers. In honor of Sasha who sacrificed her life that day in order to save those whom she loved, we have established Sasha's Legacy to ensure that the strays of Afghanistan and other war torn countries are protected in return. She loves her people once she's comfortable. She has lived with young kids but they make her nervous. We feel she'd do best with older kiddos in the home.

She loves her people once she comfortable. She has lived with young kids but they make her nervous. We feel she'd do best with older kiddos in the home.

ARKANSAS/OKLAHOMA/TEXAS or anyone near Fort Smith. Puppy Rescue Mission needs your help to pick up a dog and either foster or adopt. Denver was rescued from Kuwait in 2018 as a puppy and this past week he was recovered in Fort Smith.
He is 8 years old, male, neutered, super sweet, UTD, does well with cats and dogs, loves people. Just an all around GOOD BOY.

Foster or adopter needed!! 💔Every day we get requests to help cases...while our mission is to reunite our service members with their battle buddies we help right here in the USA when we can too.

Meet our newest rescue story...this sweet boy was living on a 4ft chain outdoors for most of his life. Despite multiple efforts from locals it wasn't until recently he was finally removed from the filth and neglect he suffered for most of his life. He was going to be euthanized but we just couldn't met it happen...he deserves to know what love is. This 8 year old boy was sprung from the shelter yesterday and we are in need of a foster or adopter ASAP. He is great with dogs, cats, and all people. He's pretty near perfect.

About Sasha’s Legacy

In most cases, when our military bonds with a stray dog while at war, Puppy Rescue Mission helps them adopt the animal and bring it home to a a life a dog deserves. Sometimes though, the service member is not is a position to adopt...that's why Puppy Rescue Mission formed Sasha's Legacy. We help those service members that because of military, family, or other obligations, can't give their best friend a home, but can't bear the thought of leaving them behind or releasing them onto the streets. Our service members see the horrible abuse of dogs and cats that back home they would consider loving family members. Imagine the relief and peace they feel when they can actually ensure the animal they want to help gets to live with an amazing family & be spoiled for life. We have named this effort after Sasha, who bravely gave her life while protecting our troops from a su***de bomber on a military base in Afghanistan.
