This little boy is called Cheeky and he needs a bit of financial help.
Cheeky is approximately 5 months of age, he is blind. We suspect his blindness could be the result of untreated cat flu.
Cheeky came into care looking as if he had been professionally shaven around his hindquarters, we now suspect the reason for his lack of fur is due to extensive over grooming (photo in comments).
Cheeky was neutered today and at the same time his bloodwork was run. Cheeky has elevated levels of creatinine and urea nitrogen (BUN) which could be an indication of kidney disease. Cheeky’s white blood cell count is high, which is an indication of infection.
Cheeky’s care plan includes steroid eye drops, antibiotics, anti-inflammatorys and regular vet visits to get to the bottom of his vast array of issues.
Cheeky is VERY fortunate that the people who found him will be adopting him regardless of his health issues and the fact he will need to live out the rest of his life exclusively indoors! How lucky is he?!?!
Donations directly to our amazing vet team would be greatly appreciated (Please use TAPP561 as the reference).
