I have a volunteer that will take Hagar from Wytheville to PNC in Charlotte (485 & 29) and can be there by 10:30. Is there anyone that would be able to to TRANSPORT from PNC to Stallings, NC.

Thank you everyone for offering to transport. I know this is difficult to piece it together but we would not be able to without everyone's selflessness.

Update: thank you all for the overwhelming response for Bentley! Our team of VOLUNTEERS is doing their best to respond to all of the comments and go through the applications that came in over the weekend. We will be in contact with anyone who has submitted an application as soon as we can! Please be considerate in your comments regarding “no response” etc- we are all volunteers trying to help these dogs and really are doing the best we can with limited time and resources like ALL rescues are facing!

A little more on Bentley- in the original post we mentioned he has some jumping and mouthing issues. This needs to be addressed and he will need someone who is willing to work on this behavior. He is not aggressive, just a big ole cute boy with some “untrained behaviors” but they significant and cannot be overlooked. He can and will easily knock someone over (adults kids etc) so PLEASE, if you looking for a perfectly trained dog from day one he might not be the one (but there are always more that need help). There is a little more to him than that pretty face💕

He is not and will never be ok with cats or chickens (or any other small prey like animal in the home) so we will be looking for a dog only home. He really needs some one on one attention to work on training and bonding.

Sorry for the long post and again, thank you all for your interest, inquiries and sharing the post. We truly cannot help any dogs without the help of our TWR supporters!

Bentley is a 2 ½ yr old male, who is sweet, loving and a lot of energy. He would like someone that is willing to work on a couple of untrained behaviors (jumping up when excited and mouthing). He needs to be moved immediately. Please consider fostering this precious boy.

Meet Rosie! She Needs a Foster!

Rosie is a 3 y/o female Weimaraner Mix. How do we know…her mother came into the rescue 2yrs ago and gave birth to 5 puppies. Since she was a stray, we do not know the other half. Rosie needs to be the only female in the house. She is good with other dogs, Children but unknown with cats. Rosie is Sweet, Affectionate and Confident. Foster/foster to adopt needed for 8 y/o female. Good with other dogs, unknown with cats. Needs a fenced yard, has not spent much time on a leash so someone would need to work with her on that . Crate trained and is ok for a few hours a time but would prefer someone to be home most of the day ( don’t they all prefer that? 😂). Described as sweet, affectionate couch potato that loves people. •Older children, or an owner with dog-savvy kids- Blue can not see so when he gets excited he can bump into smaller kids and knock them down
•A home together, they are bonded and Duke helps Blue navigate his world
•A patient owner who is willing to take time to let Blue get used to his new surroundings
•Optional- Other dogs, good with big and small dogs

Hello, I’m Jax! I am a 9 year old silver boy who’s foster would describe me as a “giant goofball who is full of love”! I am a true Velcro Weim and I want to be with you all the time, no matter where you are.

My favorite thing in the world, other than my people, is playing ball, and my foster mommy provided some videos of me and my ball for you guys to see! I walk pretty well on leash, but prefer a big yard to run around in so I can play with my ball! I am an active boy and you would not be able to tell I am 9 years old!

I can get excited at times and jump and bounce around, but don’t know my size, so would probably be best in a home without little kids.

I am good with my foster family’s small three-legged dog, but can be reactive towards some other dogs. If I’m introduced correctly I can do great! I prefer a calmer more settled dog than one that will jump all over me… I have potential to live in a multi-dog household, but will need the right dog. However I think I would be happiest as an only dog!

Hello, we are Blue and Duke! We are both big blue boys, and are as sweet as can be. We are a bonded pair so have to be adopted together!

Hello, Blue here! I am the older of the two of us, but only by 8 months! I am 7 years and 8 months old. I am a very special boy because I am blind! That doesn’t slow me down though because I still love going on walks and adventures! I am good with other dogs, even small ones, but especially my brother Duke. I am good with people of all ages, but can be a little challenging with younger children because I can’t see where I’m going and might crash right in to them when I’m excited.

Hi, I’m Duke! I am younger than Blue, but not by much, and I am 7 years old. I am his best friend and seeing eye dog. I help him navigate the world without his eyes! I am also good with other dogs, including small dogs, but prefer to stick by my brother’s side. I am good with people of all ages, and unlike Blue I will not run into little kids.

We are sweet and well mannered. We love cuddling on the couch and sleeping in bed with our people. We will need someone patient while Blue figures out his new surroundings.

Hello I am Arlo! I am a big 1 1/2 year-old silver boy weighing in at about 75lbs. If you love big, smart, handsome boys, I am the dog for you!

I am your typical active Weimaraner. I love to go on runs, which is great because I have a lot of energy to burn off! I need someone who will take the time to make sure I get the exercise I need because running around a fenced yard is fun, but it is not enough for me…

I am cuddly, and sweet, and love my people. I am the typical Velcro Weim who wants to sleep in bed with you and be by your side every minute of every day.

I am smart and know lots of tricks! My friends at Tarheel Weimaraner Rescue were kind enough to attach some videos of me showing off my skills like sit, down, shake, and crate.

I am good with other dogs and coexist with them peacefully.

My friends say my one downside is I am food possessive, but NOT aggressive. I simply grumble to communicate with you and let you know I wish to be left alone when I eat. This is easy to manage if you have other dogs by separating me during meal time, by crating me or putting me in a separate room while I eat.

Update: Foster Found! Thank you!

Meet Max
Max is a male, up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, approx. 3 year old Weimaraner. Unfortunately, Max is Heartworm +. He gets along with other dogs and shows no reaction to cats.

He will need a foster home that can keep him calm during his treatment. PLEASE, if you can step up for Max, he'd be most grateful! He is currently in a shelter and we need to move him quickly.

FOSTER PLEA!

We don't know what else to do!! Fosters seem harder and harder to come by and we get calls daily about dogs in need.

As a foster home based rescue, we rely solely on other Weim lovers to open their hearts and homes to these pups. We are forced to turn to boarding some of these intakes which depletes our precious funds for the needed medical care we provide for all of our dogs. Without foster homes we are close to having to turn dogs in need away because we simply have nowhere for them to go.
