A bit of 'urban agility' with Bella today.
My children helping to socialise Buster to scooters. He is doing so well with his impulse control.
Another new puppy for the Waggers. This one is a 3 year old AmStaff. Brought over from the owner's country of origin when they came here, so we'll not have any discussion about her ears please.
She's a happy, bouncy, very spoiled girl, with a couple of environmental anxieties (wheels, bangs & bus air brakes and select people - same as my Flaxley when I first got him).
Bella took about 5 minutes to learn leash conversation and stop trying to pull me (on her harness she pulls when she wants to go and lies down and uses her weight against you when she wants to stop). A very responsive girl and a delight to walk.
We got all the way to Jollyes and back. She was a little jumpy in the shop, but soon settled down when she knew what was expected of her (no sniffing, stand still if I do & walk nicely when I move). Popped her on the scales while we were there and she's another one who weighs the same as Vala (25.5inch dobe) and Buster (21inch overgrown staffy) though she's only about 18inches tall - level with the bottom of my kneecap. We have some work to do there! I'm going to enjoy getting this one fit.
A socialisation walk around the town centre with Buster on a Saturday afternoon.
He's been showing some anxiety around crowds recently, so we just had a nice relaxed walk all over town - with plenty of social distancing, lots of praise, and no scares or 'wobbles'.
We love this young dog ❤️
Buster was accompanied by Pancake for the first time today.. It was hard work for his little brain to resist the temptation to jump on her, but he managed successfully.
